Get Twisted Again! The Twisted Fury Solid introduces EnMotion-Xtra coverstock to the Fury Line.
Coverstock
EnMotion-Xtra improves over EnMotion coverstock by increasing traction in the oil and reaction off the dry. These
qualities result in higher hook potentials, improved ability to handle heavy oil in the middle of the lane and greater
ability to handle carry down.
Core
The Twisted Fury Solid uses the same successful Torsion Asymmetric Core used in the Twisted Fury. The Torsion Asymmetric is a medium RG core that helps push the Twisted Fury Solid through the heads, saving more ball reaction for the back-ends. Brunswick has put a new twist on core design so you can twist it up better on the lanes.
Reaction Characteristics
Out of the Box: With its 1000-grit wet sand finish, the Twisted Fury Solid will provide excellent mid-lane recovery and
a strong continuous back-end reaction that matches up on medium to oily lane conditions.
If your Twisted Fury goes too long: Dull the surface with 400-grit abrasive to get the Twisted Fury Solid to roll
sooner and increase its hooking action.
If your Twisted Fury hooks too early: Polish your Twisted Fury Solid with Brunswick's Factory Finish Rough
Buff. If your Twisted Fury Solid still hooks too early, polish with Brunswick's Factory Finish High Gloss Polish.
The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

What I Was Looking For In This Layout: Since I have the original Twisted Fury, I expected this ball to pick up a little sooner than the pearlized version. I wanted to put this layout on the ball because I was looking for a consistent read and was not looking to max out on the performance.
What I Ended Up With In This Ball Layout: Out of the box, this ball hooked too much with the surface left at box finish. It seemed to roll really fast on the condition I was throwing it on. This gave the ball a smooth arc down the lane.
I decided to hit the surface with Brunswick Factory Finish Ball polish to get me through the heads easier.
I began the first night of league with a different ball and did not feel comfortable, so after asking a teammate to watch one shot with the Twisted Solid, I decided to switch balls in the 4th frame. It ended up being a good move. I threw the last 9 strikes for 267. I had to say I was more than impressed with the carrying this ball provided. The polish definitely helped to get the ball through the heads, and it made a nice move off the breakpoint.
The line I played with ball was around 15 at the arrows to 8 at the breakpoint. It seemed like I had area in and out when I missed a little left and right. I was surprised at the carry when the ball got to the pocket.
I used the Twisted Fury Solid until the end of the 2nd game when the lanes started to break down. We started to lose oil in the heads rather quickly, so I switched to my Brunswick Smash Zone which is drilled less aggressive. The coverstock is also pearlized so it helped to get the ball down the lane.
Overall, I was very pleased with the reaction the Twisted Fury Solid gave me. I think on heavier oil patterns, this ball is going to work great at box finish. If you are using this ball in league, you are going to want to smooth the surface out a touch. I would recommend using Brunswick's Rough Buff polish on this coverstock.

I drilled this ball with the pin 5 from my PAP and smoothed the surface to 4000 abarlon. I got a chance to use this ball on the PBA Scorpion pattern and it rolled tremendous right from the start. The lanes were very tight but this ball gave me some room to play. It has been a long time since I have thrown a ball that started revving up that quickly but still had enough energy to give me some great carry.

Just had this ball drilled up today. My arsenal consists of Fury Pearl, Ultra Zone, and Red Zone. I wasn't able to throw the Fury Solid out to my usual line. With my Fury Pearl on the far left dot throwing to the 17 board out to 3 board with an agressive back end. With the Ultra Zone I'm over the middle dot throwing to the 7 board and back in with a smoother back end. With the Red Zone I'm on the second to last dot, throwing to the 15 board out to the 1 board with an aggressive back end. I had the Fury solid drilled up to be a more smooth release with an arcing back end. What I got: I was unable to play any lines with an aggressive hook. I was standing about 5 inches up from the middle dot throwing a more straigter shot - out to the 6 board with a constant smooth angle to the pocket. I bowled 4 games with the ball and averaged 215 with a high game of 236. I only missed the pocket one time due to my own fault( I hit my leg). When this ball hits high flush in the pocket the pins have no chance at all. A very low pocket hit scatters the pins as well. I did however hit the pocket flat and left many 10 pins. That is my only problem with this ball. However, it could have been the angle I was throwing. Due to the fact that I wasn't able to throw the same line as the Fury Pearl and Red Zone, I wasn't able to get as many revs on the ball as usual. I threw the Fury Solid with the box finish. My overall conclusion is that I like this ball. If you hit your mark consistently, you will strike all day. The only thing I might consider is having it drilled up a little more aggressively. I would love to see how it would work if it were drilled the same as my Fury Pearl. Brunswick hit the nail on the head again!

I got the Twisted Fury Solid and saw immediate results. I got more roll and back end reaction than I had ever seen before. My average is currently holding steady at 199 in 3 leagues with a 201 as my highest, as you can see I averaged 188 last year. I am in love with this ball and I do highly suggest this ball to all my friends. I have sold quite a few just from having people watch me throw this ball in league.
Looking for more hit and want to attack oil instead of shying away, buy this ball.

With all of the choices we have to choose from this season, I really wasn't sure where to turn. Seems like there's soo many good balls to choose from. I called and spoke with a friendly representative at bowlingball.com and explained my game to them. They recommended that I try this ball.
After throwing a few games with it, I couldn't be happier. It does just what I was looking for. I play in between the 2nd and 3rd arrows and this ball gives me a few boards left to right when I miss. I average close to 210, and I think this ball will give me what I need to increase it.
Overall, I'm really pleased with my shopping experience here. I've recommended that my friends get their equipment here. For the price and the service you get, I don't think you can go wrong.

With the OB finish, this ball is very aggressive and will handle long and heavy patterns. I used a used 1000 abralon to slightly smooth up the surface to give me a little more length for a lighter volume 44' pattern. This allowed me to play 11 to 6 and control the pocket. When there's plenty of oil up front you can definitely move left and open up the lane. I believe this is the best solid reactive assym ball Brunswick has made.
I also put a little rough buff on as an experiment and the back end reaction increased considerably. The cover is very adjustable.

The twisted solid has the strongest coverstock out in the market... for crankers, the ball needs a weak layout for shorter patterns. The ball i drilled was 3 1/4 away from my pap and fights it's self down the lane. The ball does love the oil and will make your transition from a house shot to a longer pattern easier.
tweeners drill it strong
crankers drill it weak
