Plastic slips. The Groove grips. And grip is exactly what you need to improve your game. When you're ready to step up from plastic, get in the Groove.

Ready to start hooking the ball? Move up from Plastic to Reactive coverstock technology. Compared to Plastic, Reactive coverstock technology increases traction and hooking action in the oil, and Reactive coverstocks can be sanded or shined to create large differences in hook potential. Reactive coverstocks also respond more aggressively to dry lane surfaces than Urethane coverstocks, increasing backend hooking action and hitting power.

Coverstock: These three Power Groove Reactive balls feature a factory polished version Brunswick's popular PowrKoil 17 Reactive coverstock. Factory polishing helpes create a more skid/snap reaction that saves most of its hooking action for the back part of the lane. First used on the Sapphire Zone, PowrKoil 17 is the strongest Reactive coverstock ever used on a Groove class ball.

Core: The Power Groove Reactive group feature Brunswick's DISC (Differential Increasing Side Cylinders) core technology which provides:

The largest track flare potential of any ball in its class.

Consistent track flare potentials at all weights from 12-16 pounds.

Larger, more consistent pin-out distances at all weights from 12-16 pounds.

A more driller friendly design. The precise geometric placement of high density side cylinders maximizes the increase in Track Flare Potential while maintaining dynamic symmetry for easy drilling.

The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

I'm shocked with the price I can't believe how smooth this ball rolls. I have owned this ball for three weeks and I've shocked my teammates with a 600 series games, also my high game has been a 246 game. I would recommend this ball to starting bowlers.

Bought this for the wife (12 lbs.)
She's just learning to hook the ball,
So far great ball for the price.
Hooks well in med/heavy oil.
Will see how much it ups her average,
before upgrade to more aggresive coverstock.

This bowling ball is beyond great to have for a starting bowler. Got one in late January and love it. It's a reactive and you can throw it hard on board 15, or tweak it on board 5 and you will definitely get the pocket. Brunswick makes the most affordable, and best performance balls of any type whether it's plastic, or entry-level, etc. Only flaw is that the ball does have a tendency to get some scratches and get damaged easier than some others. I've impressed my coaches on my first year bowl a 227 high game. You can even use this ball as a spare ball for medium-heavy lanes.

I was looking for a ball for dry lanes and this fit the bill perfectly. Plenty of length with a very controlled reaction. Not too strong of a move but strong enough. My only Brunswick balls before this were a target zone for spares, and then I bought a Fury. Brunswick balls hit very hard. I like what I see. I purchased mine as a striking value and absolutely love it! Thanks Bowlingball.com Keep up the great work!

This ball is great. I have a Fury that I use for heavy oil, so I had this one drilled weak for dry lanes and shooting spares on heavy oil. The ball rolls great, has great midlane, and hits very hard for an entry-level ball.
I'm a low-rev player who averages mid 160's, but I can still get action on this ball. For high-rev players, this would make a great medium or heavy oil ball. For under $70, and with BowlingBall.com's great service, this is a good buy for any level bowler.
