Chemical Friction Technology - Developed with Carmen Salvino, the C(System)3.5 is the next evolution in Chemical Friction Technology.
Let the science of friction improve your game!
Coverstock
CFT 3.5 is the next evolution in Chemical Friction Technology. The CFT 3.5 coverstock has a higher friction factor than the original CFT 2.5, which quickens response time, improves down lane traction and increases the overall hook.
Core: I-Block
The new I-Block core was engineered specifically for the CFT 2.5 coverstock to create maximum forgiveness, strong entry angels along with versatile drilling layouts.
Reaction Characteristics
Ball Motion - With its 4000-grit micro pad finish, the C (System) 3.5 offers a higher friction factor and increased response time to friction alternative than the original C(System) 2.5. The new C (System) 3.5 is best used on medium-oily to oily lane conditions when a quicker response motion is needed to increase entry angle to the pocket.
The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

What I expected from this layout: I decided to try Brunswick's Basic Asymmetric drilling layout #2 for mid-lane hook & back-end reaction. I always seem to get a good predictable read from the ball with this layout.
What I got from this layout: No surprises here, just a strong revving mid-lane reaction with a great deal of power at the pins. As aggressive as this ball is, I'm going to need a good amount of oil to be able to use this ball to its' full capabilities.
On a fresh typical house shot, I was able to start the ball in between the 4th and 5th arrow, closer to the 5th. At the breakpoint, I was aiming at the 10th board. With the I-Block core, the ball really picks up a roll fast in the mids and makes a strong transition at the breakpoint.
I was able to get in deeper and keep the ball in a tight line to the pocket. One characteristic I love about a ball that has such a strong mid-lane roll is that it is predictable at the breakpoint. Often times, a ball that gives you this reaction will use its' energy quick and not have enough juice at the pins. This is quite the opposite of what the C(System)3.5 gave me. Strong mid-lane roll, strong arc at the breakpoint, ton of power at the pins.
If you're looking for a stronger overall reaction for your C(System)2.5, this ball is the answer you've been waiting for. C for yourself why the C(System)3.5 is one of the best high performance releases from Brunswick!

The C System 3.5 comes out of the box with a polished finish at 4000 grit. This ball really gets down the lane smoothly with a nice over all hook, as it revs up and drives through the pin deck.
Watching the video reminds me how well this testing session went. I enjoyed using the C System 3.5 and believe that this will be a great ball for bowlers of all types.

The C System 3.5 from Brunswick is quite simply a puzzle of scientific greatness. This ball has the quickest response to friction of any Brunswick ball I have ever thrown or any ball I've ever thrown for that matter. The quick friction response time is only a small part of what differentiates this ball from other balls on the market! The C System 3.5 seems to be able to do what other quick response balls normally are not able to do, be predictable. I can throw this ball out to the same area and no matter the condition of the backends it responds the same way every time. This Brunswick release possesses predictability, a large amount of hook, and fantastic pin-crushing carry. The C System 3.5 turns later than my Siege on our 40 foot house shot, and yet it covers about the same amount of lane. It hooks around 5 boards more than my skid-flip Wild Thing, 3 boards more than my Evil Siege, and is more angular than all of the above. This ball loves carrydown and seems to find a way to carry the backrow almost every time. It responds well to changes in hand position and speed, while maintaining the same consistancy as the C System 2.5. I used this ball for the majority of our three game league session with five-man teams this week. I only had to move 4 and 3 the whole night! That is simply not possible with any other ball in my bag. The C System technology is the real deal. With this ball you get angularity, consistancy, great carry, and plenty of hook! It's time to go to your local proshop and get yah some "Science Friction"!

Ball 1
Drilled Rico to smooth it out. Well I got exactly that. I am enjoying this ball quite a bit so far. With this layout it allows me to throw it on THS and also sport shots. The ball has alot of midlane traction with a strong arc off the spot. This will be very usable on longer patterns when I need to keep angles tight. I am really enjoying the way this ball goes through the pins.
Ball 2
Drilled this one 70x5x40. I wanted to one to be more angular but not go sideways. I know that may sound odd from a Brunswick ball but even with this drilling this ball is quite angular. I wanted this one for the burn on the longer and heavier patterns and that is what I achieved. This one goes through the pins just as well.
In conclusion this ball hooks about 4-6 boards more than the 2.5 with more midlane and more motion down lane. I am simply amazed with this ball. If you are looking for a ball to get good midlane and good downlane motion look no further than the C System 3.5.

Lefty
PAP 3 13/16 x 1 1/8 up
Speed Range - 17-20 mph @ pins
Rev Rate - 450+ est.
Layout: 45 x 4 3/4 x 45
Surface: box finish
I was able to use this ball today in league on a 40" THS. HPL Synthetic surface.
For me the C-System 3.5 revs earlier in the mid-lane then the C-System 2.5 and continues harder through the pin deck then the 2.5.
On this medium THS condition, the C-System 3.5 allowed me to move in and open up the lane. From this line, my other equipment would not finish, but the 3.5 ripped through the rack. Pin carry was incredible with this ball, which is a first for me in this house.
The C-System 3.5 will be a great addition to any arsenal. It fits perfectly beftween my Siege and C-System 2.5.
Another winner from Brunswick available this month!

Observations:
OMG, messengers, pins flying all over the place. I haven’t seen a ball hit like this before. I was truly impressed with the carry I was getting with the 2.5 but this one is even better. Easy to get through the fronts with amazing mid lane and very strong off the spot.
Conclusions:
Brunswick has done it again. The diamond back was my favorite ball for the last couple months but that has certainly changed with the 3.5. Now this is #1 due to a couple important factors. First, for a ball that hooks a lot, I can hit the pocket from almost anywhere. Secondly, it carries the world. This ball really sends pins flying. I’ve posted a couple shots here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sitL2CeuuJk
As with any ball, proper matching of the bowler, ball, layout and coverstock are crucial to success. Make sure you find a well educated pro shop technician to drill your next ball and your scores will increase immediately.
