Retro cores and strong reactive coverstocks define the new Avalanche series from Brunswick. Using proven core technology from the Teal Rhino Pro and some of Brunswick's most well know coverstocks, the Avalanche delivers unprecedented value to the bowling customer.

Core
All Avalanche balls use the acclaimed Teal Rhino Pro light bulb core. The Teal Rhino Pro light bulb core and it's Danger Zone modification have been at the heart of two of the most successful balls of all time.

Coverstock
The Avalanche Red • Black Pearl uses PowerKoil 18 Reactive, probably the most successful reactive formulation in the bowling industry, to traction more in the oil and create a higher hook potential ball than the Avalanche Blue Pearl • Silver Pearl.

The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

Just punched this ball up last night. This ball is exactly what I was looking for. I played straight up first arrow. The ball went really long and just broke lose. WOW... Totally surprised me... For being a low-end ball this ball hits really hard.

This is a MUST for every arsenal...

Good job Brunswick great ball for great price

I picked up my Slide Tuesday night and used it Wednesday morning at our seniors league. I usually throw the Ultra Zone in this league because this house puts out has just a bit more oil than the THS. I am a 185 average stroker at this house throwing about 15 mph (as shown on the score tube). I usually aim about the 8 board. I didn't think the Slide would work under these condition. I was very surprised by how well it acted, actually better than the Ultra Zone. I played straight down the 10 board with a very strong and angular hook well down lane. Had a 9 bagger in the first game for a 245 and finished with a 635. I was very pleased with the performance of this ball. I bought it for dry lanes but was very pleased with its performance on medium oil conditions. It will give me a little more flexibilty when encountering different oil conditions. It is a nice compliment to the Ultra Zone. Did you find this review helpful? Yes No

I got this ball drilled up on Friday and shot a 300 with it on Sunday. It was game #2 with the ball. This ball hits the pocket hard. This is a great ball! Did you find this review helpful? Yes No

I drilled up this ball to be a one two punch with the Wild Ride. Let me say it was a great choice. I chose this ball becasue the house I normally bowl leauge in changed the shot to a much drier condition. Oil is more in the middle and from the 8th board out dry as a desert. I driiled this ball with 1 inch up over the ring finger, the cg kicked out slightly and the thumb hole in the mass. Gets through the heaads clean and has great late lane movement with plenty of pop. I would recommend this ball to anyone that is bowling on a light oil pattern, second shift oil or wood lanes that break down in the later part of the night. Did you find this review helpful? Yes No

this ball was okay i think the only reason i didnt like it as much was because i bought it with a 6 inch pin. i drilled it i think 5 by 5 with the cg by my thumb and the pin above my ring finger the ball rolls 50 feet pretty much t through my break point and hardly recovers i recently put a 1000 grit wet sand on it and im going to bring it to league next tuesday Did you find this review helpful? About the Bowler
Bowling Hand    Right Handed
Ball Speed    Medium
Style    Tweener
Player: Right hander, Medium Revs, Medium Speed, High Track

Drilling: Pin above Middle Finger about 5-6 inches away from pap

Avalanche Slide is stronger than expected but still gives wonderful length on dry shots, or when there is very little head oil. Defintly a backend ball, can play really straight out near gutter on fresh house shot. On cheetah pattern can move inside. Very good ball, and hits hard.
