The advantage/convenience is there. My thumb swells up especially over the summer or after playing for long periods. The problem with these things is that they have a tendency to break from the little tabs at the bottom. I already had a few broken up and at about 10 a piece plus 10 to have them drilled, well...there are not exactly cheap. I'm in the process of fitting my balls to the updated interchangeable VISE system which does not have any type of tabs. I'll see how that works.

This is one of the best decisions in bowling equipment I have made. I really hate the feel of tape and hate the gummy residue it leaves behind.
When my thumb swells I just switch to a bigger thumb slug. I currently have three sizes I use in one night.
But there is a bigger benefit that no one realizes. When ever you get a new ball drilled it seems like you always have to play with the thumb hole until just perfect. NO MORE. I call my pro-shop and they punch a new ball up by the time I get off work. When I pick it up, just lock one of my slugs I already have in and it fits perfect. Even if my thumb didn't swell I would have this product for that reason.

This is a great product. It is just as advertised. Totally solved my problem of swelling thumb. I simple remove my smaller insert when my thumb swells too much for it and twist in my larger one. I put an outer sleeve in all three of my balls, so I can use the exact same thumb insert in whichever ball I want.

The Turbo 2-N-1 Turbo Switch Grip Inner Sleeve is a good product. It will allow you have the same thumb feel in every ball that you have an interchangeable thumb in.

I highly recommend these grips for any bowler who uses multiple balls or has issues with a thumb that likes to swell or shrink. These grips give me the same feel when I change balls for a 10-pin or if I need to change balls to compensate for changing lane conditions. One reviewer said these grips fit at a different angle in each of his balls. Mine don't. With my eyes closed I would not be able to tell which of my six balls I was holding. This is one of the few extra's in equipment that I actually believe is well worth the money.

Thought this was the ultimate solution to finding the perfect thumb fit every time but I was wrong. The system was expensive and fit differently in every ball. The sleeve inserts are evolving with better tabs on bottom and they are supposed to be universal but they are not. I am not a power player and I don't have alot of grip pressure at all, yet I have managed to snap these things on multiple occasions. I had the stronger series too! Didn't mean a thing. After spending about 2 hundred dollars fitting all my balls with this system I wound up spending even more to put it all back to normal thumb slugs. Save your money and just by a 500 piece roll of the Storm tape and make your thumb fit with tape instead. You will be happier and richer!
