I can't say enough about this ball. I have thrown many 3 piece pancake block urethane balls and none of them had a reaction even close to this. I drilled this ball with the recommended drilling which is Pin 3/4" over from center grip line and 3/4" up from mid grip line. This ball goes very long and depending on the pattern it will snap or arc smoothly and blows the racks apart. I played inside, deep inside and up the 5 board, my reaction was the same each shot. I bowled on very short medium oil in the heads and dry the rest of the way down the lanes, I averaged 211 for 4 games, amazing!!!!!

This is the most amazing bowling ball I've ever owned (Hammer Jigsaw, Columbia Beast Urethane). I've averaged 215 with it in my first 8 outings, 20 pins over average. I traded in my Hammer Jigsaw for the Razyr, because I could not control the hook on the Jigsaw (see review).

I'm a stroker, averaging 190's. With the Razyr as long as I keep the ball speed down around 13.5 mph, I can play anywhere around 2nd arrow on a League shot and the ball will hit the pocket. If I pull it the ball will float right into the pocket. If I miss right, as long as the ball speed is down, it will hook into the pocket.

Whereas the Jigsaw would skid, hook, then snap, the Razyr will skid fairly long, then break once it hits the dry part of the lane.

The Razyr hits like a brick without overpowering the pocket. With my old Columbia Beast Urethane I would leave a lot of weak tens. With the Jigsaw, because of its snap at then end, I would leave ugly splits, 8 pins, and chop two pins spares a lot. No weak tens with Razyr and rarely an ugly split on a high hit.

When throwing the Razyr cross lane for spares with a little extra speed (15 mph) it will skid all the way to the pins without me having to flatten my grip that much, I just put a higher roll on the ball.

Another beautiful part about the Razyr is that it doesn't soak up any oil compared to the Jigsaw which I constantly had to soak in hot soapy water and sand. The Razyr rarely leaves a trace of oil on it unless I throw it cross lane. When I'm done bowling I just hit it with a wet wipe. I can see that I'll probably have to get it polished every 50 games or so.

All in all I am surprised how great this entry level reactive resin ball is. I've scored consistently with it on freshly oiled league shots and broken down league shots. I'm generally playing 13 to 9 board out to the 8 or 7 board on all league conditions around 13.5 mph rolling the ball short at the foul line sometimes with a lot of side roll sometimes with a higher end over end roll. It always finds the pocket.

Awesome on dry lanes; I never thought that this ball would hook as much as it does. However when I got it to the two board I left a five pin standing; that being said great ball for the money.

I had bought the ball for the dry lanes I encounter in shoting some tournaments and hopefully to have a steady ball to pick up that nasty ten pin. I was more than surprised to find that even with a simple pancake this ball can move if taken outside the 10 board. I haven't yet used it as a first ball but have kept it close to the lane for almost any spare. I love the action and the predictability of this ball. Thanks Hammer.

Hammer has really done it on this one here. The Razyr Black/Red is an awesome ball for the dry lane conditions that we encounter every now and then. This ball gets down the lane very well with out losing energy and makes a strong motion on the backend.
