Very predictable ball with a lot of backend hitting power. Works very well on medium oil lanes. I can throw the ball over the second arrow and be sure the ball will always hook back to the pocket. The best ball I've ever thrown. I'm a 140 average bowler and my last three games with this ball were 171, 201, 188.

I received my Illusion through the RotoGrip Collegiate Program. It is drilled with a 4 ¼” by 4” pin to PAP.

I first used my Illusion on the house pattern at our home center, which is dry on the outsides and heavy in the middle. I have also thrown this ball on extremely dry conditions. The Illusion gives me good reaction when the lanes are very dry.

The Illusion is my favorite ball to use on dry patterns. It gives me a lot of length with controllable back end.

I would definitely recommend this RotoGrip ball for dry conditions.

Got this ball today and was stoked to use it. I have never bought a ball before and did not know what to expect. I am a novice bowler. I was very excited to use my new ball and it did not disappoint. I have a 130 average and tonight, much to my surprise, I bowled a 175!! I know this is not a huge game by any means, but for me it's pretty good. I can't say that it was all the ball but it did feel right. This ball seems to be a good fit for bowlers who really would like to learn the proper way to bowl. I am very happy with My purchase!

Took me awhile to adjust to this ball since it was my first new ball in 10+ years. I have been able to maintain about a 160-170 avg after a dismal start to a new league. Nice ball!

The Illusion is one of the more angular ball in the Roto line. Very clean through the fronts with a strong sharp move on the back. I have had a lot of success drilling this ball for higher rev players or lower ball speeds. I have also used this ball a lot to introduce people into the Roto-Grip line. If you are looking for something to use in the second or even third game in league or for those tedious late block squads in a tournament this is a great choice. A very good and underrated release for Roto-Grip.

I found this ball to work best on medium to light oil. To get the reaction in oil I needed, I sanded the cover to 800. This allowed me to play deeper in the oil and swing out to the dry.
This ball should do well on a house pattern where there is a dry area to bounce the shot.

This is a great ball from Roto Grip. The Roto Grip Illusion can be used on a variety of lane conditions. I recently drilled a Illusion for a customer with a 4 x 4 layout. The ball was clean thru the heads pick up a nice mid-lane roll and gave him a strong continuous motion on the backend. He was able to play a couple of different line on a fresh house shot.
