I take a size 9 EE width and shoes are very difficult to find. These are the most comfortable bowling shoes I have found to date. They fit perfectly. They deserve a 6 rating. I recommend them highly.

Great shoe but laces fray and break and replacements are not available.
This is a common malady involving these otherwise fantastic shoes.

The Dexter SST5 shoe is really quite nice. I used Lind's all my life but was forced to change due to PBA rules that prohibit Lind's. The Dexter's are soft, comfortable and the changeable slide soles are great. I have a more narrow foot and the Dexter's are a little wide for me but by adding a cushion insole under the removeable insole I was able to make them acceptable. Overall I'd recommend this shoe to better bowlers and those seeking to improve their game.

Very happy that I replaced my entry-level Dexter's (where the sides separated from the sole on my right shoe), with the SST-5. I'm enjoying the extra stability and support, and I feel that my investment will be more than repaid in the long run.
I would change one thing about the shoe. The NON-Sliding foot should be a bit tougher across the front. If you drag your foot during your slide, the front won't last a week. I have changed my bowling style to avoid the issue, great shoes other than that. Next time I will buy a DEXTER SHOE with a little more on the toe. But they will definitely be DEXTER with the changeable sole and heel. BOWLINGBALL.COM really know how to take care of it's customers as well, I highly recommend them.

They feel comfortable and work fine while bowling. However, the left heel that comes with the shoes would stick on the approach. My local pro shop owner recommended I get the #7 heel (since the shoes have replaceable soles and heels). After doing this, the shoes performed fine, the left sliding foot slid without sticking.

they are the best shoe ever period
Stepping up from the Dexter Seth to the SST5 was something I wish I had done sooner. These shoes broke in quickly, have quality soles, and they allow me to customize my game as it grows.

I received my Dexter shoes at the date that bowlingball.com said they would be shipped. The Dexters are exactly what I wanted with the interchangable soles. This will help me with my game in league and tournament play.
