What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
Once we decided how we were going to layout the Pursuit we decided to use a pretty simple layout on the Pursuit S. We felt this would offer us a really good look at what the ball was capable of and the differences between the two balls.

Based on what we were told about these balls and the data we saw we figured the Pursuit would be a stronger sharper ball motion then the Pursuit S. The symmetrical core int he Pursuit S should offer a cleaner look through the front with a smoother motion off the break point.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
I was really surprised at first at how close the two balls were in the front part of the lane. I really thought the Pursuit S would be much cleaner
and maybe even a little weaker off my hand but it was very strong and clean just like the Pursuit.

For me the major differences was as the ball started to hook and transition into the backend part of the lane. The Pursuit S was much smoother and
offered me a cleaner motion off the break point when compared to the Pursuit. I am typically a bigger fan of symmetric core balls because I feel like I have more control of the ball motion by using subtle changes in the hand position and release. As you will be able to see in the video, I was able to throw this ball fairly direct with plenty of roll and motion and then with a simple change I was able to create a lot of movement down lane.

That is the kind of ball I like to throw because I like to make small changes as the night progresses and the lanes change.

We changed our second camera angle on this video and I think you will agree that it offers a really good look into the ball motion from start to finish. As you will see in this angle the ball is super strong and also allowed me some tug and swing room, something we all like to have.

I was recommended by an employee at my local pro shop, after I won a tournament where the prize was any ball you wanted from Ebonite, Hammer, Track, and Columbia for free.

I actually had never heard of the ball before, and in the end I'm glad he recommended this for me.

Out of the box, this ball hit harder than any ball I had ever thrown. I was able to move as far left as I could and it would still come back. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the ball and this will definitely be in my bag for a while.

I have drilled two of these it hooks a little less than the pursuit but more angular and more continuous. when they say coast to coast they mean it. The layouts I used were

60 x 5 x 50
box finish and light shine with factory finish polish
on sport patterns i could get way in and still get the ball to hit great.

70 x 5 x 70
box finish high shine with factory finish polish
great on house and sport patterns.

what a great one two punch ebonite has with the pursuit and the pursuit s.

I am ebonite
Bowl to win!

What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
I expected much of the same from this ball that I did from the Pursuit, with the only difference being smoother off the breakpoint. The symmetric core in this ball should allow for a similar line as the lanes transition, but with much more consistency down lane.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
This ball was amazing. It was just as strong as the asymmetric version, but with a more powerful arcing motion down lane. It didn't want to overreact in the dry, but allowed for maximum margin of error.

The finish on this ball is perfect for what Ebonite needed from this line. The Pursuit S gives a great midlane read and rolls through the pins like no other symmetric ball. Being very partial to symmetric equipment, I must say that this is one of the best I have thrown in quite a while. It will allow you to open up the lanes very well and still adjust as the lanes transition.

Overall this ball is the perfect combination of core, cover, and surface finish. The Pursuit S is one of the best new releases from Ebonite International.
