What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
Well how do describe what you are looking for from one of the greatest balls of all time? The Karma Pearl is the rebirth of the original Danger Zone in a pearlized cover! The Danger Zone was one of the best balls ever made
and really changed the standard for ball reaction across the entire world.
I am very excited to throw the Karma Pearl to see what the pearl cover offers me. We kept the layouts really simple on this and the Karma Solid. Pin above ring finger and cg kicked out just a little from the center of grip.
What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
The Karma Pearl delivered a great ball motion just a little smoother in the front then the Solid. There have been so many between the original release and the release of the Karma that I could only say this was a solid ball motion. The Karma Pearl was designed for lighter patterns but it handled the house shot perfectly fine for me. It allowed me to move right and really
open up the lane. For the performance level Brunswick's putting this ball in, it will definitely be the best ball at the performance level or price you can find.
The reactive cover handled the lanes perfect with a strong not over aggressive motion off the breakpoint. The Karma Pearl showed me a little less versatility the the Solid but overall I loved the ball motion and the ball looked amazing going down the lane. Compared to some of the other balls we have thrown in this performance level and price point the Karma will blow them out of the water.
Brunswick has picked a winner to replace the Avalanche series and using the Danger Zone was a great call. Bowlers of all skill levels will agree the Karma Pearl is a great way to bring back the Danger Zone in a pearlized cover. At first there was bad karma and good karma, but now there's GREAT Karma!

Based on the reaction from the Karma Solid, and the reaction I saw from Tony and Curlie, I can tell that the Karma Pearl is just as good as the Karma Solid.
I also prefer Pearl Coverstocks over Solid, so the additional length you would get from this version of the Brunswick Karma bowling ball could prove very useful.
Having this kind of performance in a bowling ball at this price point is really exciting. People looking for a bargain bowling ball, should look towards a newer bowling ball like this, rather than a model from years past.
Overall, Brunswick is in the driver's seat when it comes to great performing bowling balls at fantastic prices.

One of Brunswick’s latest affordable performance ball is the Karma pearl. This ball uses a medium high RG and a medium differential light bulb shape weight block. The Karma cover is the pearl Powrkoil 18 which has been a proven winner for over a decade. If you are looking for a ball to handle the medium to light oil volumes this is the ball for you.

From what I have heard, this is the Danger Zone Ice with new colors which I never had the original. The drilling that I used was to get the ball to start up earlier down lane and have a smoother transition. The ball clears the heads and continues through the pins on the Kegel patterns. With the peal cover, it is a great compliment to the solid cover Karma allowing it to get down lane further before reacting to the friction. Another great performing ball in the affordable performance Series!

Brunswick Karma Blue/Green Pearl Reviewed By: Ron Ducote 04/27/2011 08:23 ( stars)
Layout: Pin above middle finger CG slightly off center.
Looking for: mid lane push
Looking to replace: Columbia 300 Freeze (pin above finger center w/ CG slightly off center)
First time out was late league with three games already bowled on the pair (ths). Not having thrown the ball I was instantly impressed with the smooth and controlled mid lane reaction. I did not have to "work" the ball down the lane. Reaction at the spot was instant with continuation through the deck. I was very impressed with how this ball conserved its energy on the dry/burned condition.
After the first two games I was out of room left. I moved 4 boards right and flatened out the shot but worried about carry being an issue. I was very impressed with the carry from the Karma(except for the STONED 7-9)in the third game.

being 76 years old, I was looking for a ball tht would not hook to much. After reading the specs for the Karma I decided to order one. I use the pro shop at Ft Polk, Gary Woodard does the drilling and knows how I bowl. First series 587, so I am well pleased with the ball, I would give it an overall rating of 5.0.

This ball goes beyond its advertised potential. I roll a full roller, medium speed, the mid line curve and hard finish produce amazing pin action.
