About the Bowler
Bowling Hand    Right Handed
League Average    195
Ball Speed    Medium
Style    Stroker
PAP    4 1/2 over, 0 up

Pin to PAP(4 1/2" over 0" up) - 4"
Mass Bias Position - 4" from PAP
Balance Hole - 3/4" x 1" on PAP
PSA Layout - 4" x 4", 2" pin buffer

Surface Preparation - Out of Box

The Bank Pearl offers great length and a fantastic finish as it drives through the pins. I have personally never thrown so many messengers. Unfortunately, I was throwing them at a ten pin that was already down.

I am a fan of pearlized coverstocks, and this is no exception. 900 Global is producing some great bowling balls and I am excited to be able to throw some of it.

This bowling ball has a very strong roll, and transitions smoothly into a pin crushing roll. This ball is very versatile and could be used on a wide variety of lane conditions.

Bank Pearl is the new release from 900 Global. Bank Pearl is a pro performance ball with a very strong move in the backend. I drilled the Bank Pearl with pin under ring finger and mass at 50 degrees this is my favorite drill pattern. The Bank Peal gave me a smooth roll in the front and strong move in the backend. Bank Pearl will be a very big seller in our shop if you missed trying the Bank you can not afford to miss the Bank Pearl. If you have any questions about the NEW BANK PEARL please e-mail the shop.

I'm right handed. I have an above average ball speed and revs to match. I am not going to get real technical but as you see in the picture below my Bank Pearl is not drilled to be a hook monster. The MB is inside my thumb hole(drilled through it). It was drilled to match my game as all bowling balls should be. Ball is still at OOB surface(out of box). I used it on a wood and a brunswick synthetic lane surface.

When I threw my Bank Pearl it hit the pocket very hard. It clears through the heads with little effort required. The back-end motion was strong and continuous but not extreme skid/flip like typical pearl high performance balls. I was still able to play a successful inside line (which is my favorite line to play, inside 15th board) and also more direct outside 15th board. I think a lot of bowlers will like the Bank Pearl because it is clean enough through the heads, to throw on a broken down pattern on synthetic and wood surfaces but strong enough to use when the lanes are fresh. Keep up the good work 900 Global.

I drilled this ball 4.5 x 4 with my PAP being 4 9/16, and 3/8 up.

The shot was a THSof around 38ft.

Once again another great product from 900 Global. This ball has great back end, I will say that I did not see a great deal of skid/flip, but a hard strong continuous back end. I will say that a few times if I came around the ball and got it a little out early I would then see the famous skid/flip action, just about like any ball someone might throw.

All in all once again I am glad to say that once again global has produced another great high performance ball.. If your looking for something that will get great length and have a strong and hard continuous back end. Then I say the bank pearl is something you should add to your arsenal.

Get yours at your local pro shop Jan. 13, and be ready to bank on bowling high scores.

Pro Shop owner, avid bowler. Ball was sent as a promotional ball from Eric Thomas. Many thanks to 900G/AMF for their generosity. #15/4, 3.75, 3-4"

Drilled pin up a 4-1/4 pin to pap, 2" buffer, Mb 5-1/2" to pap, puts thumb hole just outside of thumb slug, x-hole at P3. very clean up front, effortless through the heads with enough lope to conserve plenty of energy. The high gloss polish helps !! the back end is very angular, yet stable something I really didn't expect. Has excellent continuation through the deck, responds from anywhere, without the "boomer rang" effect you get when most high friction pearl covers over react to the dry. A great bleld of back end hook with excellent control !!!!! A ball with plenty of shelf appeal and the attitude on the lanes to prove it.

The Bank Pearl is my 4th 900 Global bowling ball I've owned and I'm happy to say this one is no disappointment. I had the ball drilled to be pretty aggressive. I am a stroker, been bowling for many years and am currently averaging 209.
Right out of the box I shot 245-244-254 for 743 series!
I am very happy with this Bank Pearl, and highly recommend it.

EXCELLENT!!!

Dave Samuels Current League Avg. 183, usually 190's...

I've been suffering all year, especially in my first game of the night, with the old skid/flip issue. So, early in my games, I couldn't adjust properly leaving lots of splits, which crushes your scoring power, even if you tend to roll lots of strikes.

So, after reading reviews of the Bank Pearl, and watching a few others, I was intrigued by the consistency of the mid lane reactions. I don't know if I really believe in a self correcting core; but my recent scoring is making me a believer.

Right out of the box, drilled pin up.

1st set: 246 / 207 / 227 = 680 set
2nd set: 258 / 224 / 236 = 718 set
3rd set: 204 / 165 / 245 = 614 set
4th set: 204 / 246 / 227 = 677 set

Thank you bowlingball.com always excellent service, excellent price!!!

I have only just gotten it drilled and bowled one week of league.
The break to the pocket is great. Light strikes are much improved. It also has a stable roll to the ten pin that was usually reserved for a spare ball. So far it has been just what I was hopoing it would be.

I've never owned a 900 Global Ball before the Bank Pearl. I was pleasantly surprised of the back end reaction of this ball. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for anyone else, but I'm certainly glad I gambled on this one.

This ball is killer the first time I threw it I fell in love. It has a great breaking point and it hooks like a champ. Given its a Pearl coverstock so it doesn't hook as much as some of the others but definitely has given my game a much needed spark and has helped improve my average by 10points and its only been a month since I ordered the ball!!
Thanks 900 Global for helping improve my game.

This is without a doubt one of the best balls on the market. I had mine drilled pin down with the mass bias kicked out 2 inches from the thumb. This has a very smooth angular backend reaction it sets up in the pocket and explodes the pins. First time out with the ball 625. Second time out 673. Threw ten in a row for 289. You gonna love the reaction on this ball. Left it at the OOB finish.

Wanted to compliment you on a great bowling ball. I have a 197 average. I bought the ball to use on medium oil. The ball performs great. The first use of the ball I shot 625. Last night I shot 673. Threw a 289 threw the first ten. This ball hardly leaves ten pins it has great carry and hitting power because of the Self Righting Core. I had it drilled pin down and the mass bias kicked out about 2 inches from the thumb. I friend of mine saw me throwing the ball on the league and said he wanted to know if my friend who owns the proshop could order one for him. He is getting his drilled on Wednesday. This ball has a very smooth backend reaction which is totally controllable and doesn't have the over/under as other balls. Best bet for drilling don't get overly fancy with the drilling. Keep it simple .Buy this one you won't be sorry. Thanks 900 Global for a great product.

Although Micheal Haugan touted this ball as the most aggressive in the line, I would disagree. This is an excellent ball that clears the heads wonderfully on the burn. I went with a long pin (5+ from PAP), with a strong CG and MB. This gives me incredible break in the transition. It gives me a look similar to that of the Profit but much stronger at the breakpoint even though my Profit has a stronger layout.

All in all, a great ball and a wonderful compliment to the line. I feel my arsenal is very well rounded now that I have this in the bag.

900 Global Bank Pearl Reviewed By: Missy Parkin 01/25/2011 22:02 ( stars)

The new Bank Pearl is an awesome bowling ball and a great compliment to the original Bank (for those of you that have purchased that ball.)

I have three Bank Pearls. The first Bank Pearl I drilled is just my normal layout. Pin below my fingers, in the middle of my grip with the CG and Mass Bias kicked out. (I always like to put my normal layout on a ball when I'm first trying it out, and then I change it up a little if I love the ball and want to drill more.) The reaction of this ball is a very strong backend motion, skid/flip, when this ball sees friction. The pearl cover makes the ball go pretty long, so this ball (out of the box) needs to see some friction to hook. However, if you take alittle bit of the shine off of the ball, you will see the ball hook in oil, but still have a huge backend.

I drilled another Bank Pearl - Pin below my middle finger, CG straight down and Mass bias, straight down below my thumb. This ball is set up to be pretty mild. Anotherwords, I calmed down the backend reaction and set the ball up to be a little bit more controllable, so I could use it on drier PBA or sport shot patterns.

My third Bank Pearl was drilled for me at the PBA Tournament of Champions and is set up with a 5" pin (which I don't usually use), the pin below my ring finger, CG and Mass Bias kicked way out and a HUGE extra hole down pretty low, almost straight into my CG. With this layout, I was able to play right off the corner and allow my ball to read the lanes without overhooking in the dry. It makes a hook/stop reaction, which also gave me a little tug room.

Overall this ball, has a great shape on both house patterns and Tougher PBA and sport shots. On house patterns, you can open up the lane with this ball (i.e. stand left and throw right and have it come back) or you can utilize this ball towards the end of league when the lanes start to change and you need a ball to get further down the lane, but still hook on the back end.

Had a chance to throw mine this week in an AMF synthetic house, 40ft pattern. Surface is older and has had a lot of play on it over the years. This house plays real wet/dry. A normal night in this 5 man scratch league its very common to see 8-10's and 5-7's on pulled shots. Moving in isn't really an option here, carry isn't the greatest for almost everyone on the right side, very speed sensitive. You need to be versatile and have a ball that is versatile and will read the lane, not overreact to the track area. That's where the Bank Pearl comes in!

OOB finish high polish. I was a little nervous about too much skid/flip but no worries here! My ball speed is around 15-16. I can't play in the "dirt" but I can play the edge with the right ball and layout. Drilled the BP (undrilled spec's of 15.3, 2-3" pin, 3 oz top) nothing flashy, 4 by 4 stacked, good drilling for me in this house.

Well can't ask for more than I got. 299-268-256 for an 823! Awesome pin carry. Slapped and ton of 10's and tripped a bunch of 4's. Seemed to always want to roll up in the midlane just enough to carry. Would also lay-off enough to trip the high hit. I'd say more roll and overall hook than the Profit. Not as skid/flippy but has a definite backend roll/pop. What was impressive is that I used my normal release game 1 for 299. Games 2 and 3 as the track area dried I was able to stay where I was - around 16 at the arrows to 12 and take some hand out and still carry. I didn't want to move in with the look I had and this ball's consistent roll and tendency to not overreact to dry let me stay in a comfort zone and helped me to a nice night. Since first time throwing I've had 760, 741, 289, 290 and 298!

The Bank Pearl is a great addition to the line! It fits a nice niche in the pearlized ball category, consistent roll and backend reaction.
Thank you 900 Global!

First a little information about myself:

Right Handed
16 mph
Med Rev Rate
5.5 over pap
ton of tilt

Have owned and operated a proshop for 6 years and been drilling for 18 years. Also worked for Columbia 300 as the midwest rep before the sale to Ebonite.

First I would like to say that this ball has excellent shelf appeal, the gold and purple is very pleasing to the eye. Secondly this is a motion that 900 Global has been searching for. IMO...a lot of there high end balls had strong mid lane reaction with a moderate back end motion. Even with all my tilt I have had a tough time getting the ball to become more angular off the spot. Well the core/coverstock combo on the Bank Pearl has created a great new look that I have been searching for. Easy length and an extra gear off the spot. Yet I can play multiple angles without compromise on carry. I wouldn't hesitate to drill this ball with your favorite type drill and have great success on a variety of patterns. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

First of all, I am not a staffer. I have no contract with company. The first six games out of the box I have shot 3games over 258 and a 300. This is in a late league house shot, starting about 18 at the arrows and ending up around 25 by the end of the night on synthetic brunswick lanes. I had drilled an original bank ball, which I liked on the fresh, but once I had to get left of 15 the core was just too strong for me. I would call myself a powerstroker. That original bank I had put the pin right below both fingers in center of grip, with cg directly below it an mass bias kicked out about an 1 1/2. I realized that when I drilled this bank pearl, I was going to put the mass bias right in my thumbhole to tame that strong core down, due to my "heavy hand". So I put the pin directly above my ring, left cg in middle of grip and drilled mass bias out with my thumbhole. When I get the ball in the oil, this coverstock/core combo matches up nicely. Ball will hit midpocket and keep pins low and send them flying. When I get it out to dries, with layout for me taming core down. It peels right off them and doesnt overhook and roll out. It saves a lot energy and rolls heavy!! THIS BALL IS A BEAST! I have also thrown this ball on Chameleon pattern for three games after they had been broken down and had 8-10 games each lane and shot 211,217 and 223. So with layouts to tame core down for those bigger hands this ball seems to work well on it also. This ball is a must have!

Very impressive. Out of the box (OOB) reaction needed no changes to the surface. I have not had a ball react more for me in years, and it does not over react. My first game out of the box was a 278. That was before league. I shot a 300 with a 774 series. Did I mention that I average 198. This ball is my new go to ball and 900 Global is my new ball company. Thanks to bowlingball.com who drilled and layed out the ball based on my information. Great ball, great service, happy customer.

This customer was looking for something to replace a Ebonite Total NV. With the pearl cover and the extremely strong core the Bank Pearl seemed like the perfect replacement.

The main strength of this ball is the extremely strong motion down lane that this ball creates. The league that this bowler bowls in ends up having a ton of carry down by the middle of the second game due to all the plastic that is thrown. This ball is the perfect antidote to this scenario. On the fresh he started playing around 15 at the arrows and around 6/7 at the breakpoint. The ball motion was just as expected, clean through the fronts with an extremely strong, but not angular motion down lane. As the night went on his ball reaction seemed to get better and better. He continued to make 3 and 1 moves left as the lane broke down, the difference was that the down lane motion get not weaken at all unlike all the other balls he throws. He put together games of 214, 234, 268.

This is a very versatile piece of equipment. Matched players and Rev Dominate players are going to get the most use out of this ball at box surface, especially as the lanes transition. By putting this ball at 1000 or 1500 with no polish speed dominate players will find the Bank Pearl to be good on the fresh and will help them create more down lane motion.
