Well, I got this ball last week with it drilled Pin over the bridge to get a smooth controlled reaction. This is exactly what I got with this ball. I'm left handed with around 400 RPM's and alot of tilt. I polished the Plague to get it through the heads clean and have a strong controlled reaction on the backend in heavy oil and this is just what I received. I strongly recommend this ball to anyone looking for a forgiving yet extremely aggressive overall bowling ball.

I've definitely fallen to the PLAGUE

This ball is great. I was throwing an old Storm Dimension for awhile, and was looking for a new ball. The guy at my pro shop recommended the Hammer Plague. I am a highschool bowler. With my Dimension I was averaging in the 160-170 range. First game out of the box with the Plague was a 186, and two games later came a 232. After a few weeks of practice, I have been throwing constant 190+ games. This ball smacks the pins hard and hooks like no other. If you think the Plague is for you, then go ahead and pick one up. You will not be disappointed. Good job, Hammer.

IT HITS LIKE A TRUCK!!!! ive nvr had a ball that hits the pocket as this does! i have it drilled similar to a stacked layout with a slightly bigger balance hole for more of an arching motion down lane works great in heavy oil but tends to roll up early on my house shot. very sick ball recomend to all, get one and enjoy!! nothing hits like a hammer :)

This ball never got the hype the Taboo or the Trap got. Owning the Taboo I can say the PLAGUE is twice the ball. It hits and carries reliably. It is not over under like the taboo or most of the other Hammer gear I have owned. Smooth strong arc to the pocket works well dull or polished. Pick your lane condition or cover stock finish. Its a winner.

I bough this ball for my son, and in his words it is a Beast! Now I know why they say nothing hits like a Hammer. His first game with the Plague was a 235. He is 18 and bowls in a USBC Youth league.
Highly recommended.

I kept this at the original surface and got it drilled to go long and strong, and I absolutely love this ball!
I would call myself a higher rev tweener, and this ball lets me open up the lane way more than anything else I've ever used, but it also is very controllable. The Plague hits the pocket like a tank, and the only thing it seems to leave is a 9 pin when it comes in too hard.
If you want a ball that is very strong yet very controllable, then I highly recommend you get a Plague!

I bought this ball in order to avoid shoulder strain and also get a higher oil ball. It is taking awhile to get use to not pushing down the lane but it will come. This ball is just like it's description on the site. Great Ball Great Shipping. Highly Recommended!!!!

I just purchased the plague after a long time looking. I always knew hammer was a good brand but they broke the mold with this ball. I have actually just started learning how to throw a hook for about six months now and am still no where near some people. The ball hits hard and does alot more then u would think. If your just smooth with your delivery and let the ball do the work you'll have no problem. All i can say is good job hammer keep it up !!!!

Have been bowling for about 6 months 4-5 days a week to learn the game. 1st league average was 151 and I'm on my second carrying a 185 average. Medium ball speed, low-med revs. After hearing from 4 friends how good this ball was and reading the reviews I made my purchase. After getting it drilled I hit the lanes excited to see how the ball rolled for me. Played 1st and second games with it in the 180's moving looking for the best line on the ball. Third game standing on 27 and rolling over 11 the strikes kept coming effortlessly. Even throwing right of my target 2 boards the ball would come back and just slam the pins. This ball hits harder than anything in my bag and the pin carry is amazing. Threw 11 strikes in my 3rd game with it, left one 10 pin missing by a hair to score my new high game of 267!!! While I don't see many reviews on this ball don't over look it! Smooth through the heads with great reaction on the back end and very predictable and easy to control, hits HARD! Already has me looking at the Brawl and the Infection as replacements for some of the equipment in my arsenal. Get the Plague!

The Plague
16 lbs
pin located to right of ring finger
mass bias basically stacked. Fingers drilled deep to relieve top weight. Balance hole to the right of the thumb (large and deep)

The Plague was intended to replace my Black Widow Nasty. The Plague took surface changes very well. Polished or sanded, the ball drove through the pins very well and worked best in oil. Personally, the ball worked best for me at about 1000 light polish. This gave me enough length to get through the heads but enough dig in the midlanes so that the ball could set up and drive. On Sport conditions (dulled to 2000), the Plague proved to be very versatile and predictable. The strong roll that it developed kept me out of trouble and helped to control the breakpoint. On House conditions, (1000 polish) the Plague allowed me to logically move throughout the night. Has helped me to some of my highest sets including stoning an 8 pin that cost me my first 800 (278, 244, 269(spare next 8 stone , spare, x) = 791). This ball is very strong through the backend and through the pindeck. Thank you Hammer! I have caught the Plague!

As soon as I threw the first ball and kinda figure where to place the ball on the lane, result ***BURIED*** cleared the deck. I was like this is going to be a great ball. 211-225-232 = 668 Not to bad for the first games out of the box. Had the ball drilled pin over the bridge and a little side weight out to make weight. What I got was a long ball with an extreme back end. Also it gave a lil wiggle room just in case. Great ball Hammer!!!

I think one gets a lot of bang for the buck, literally and figuratively, with this ball. It is aggressive and hard hitting. As advertised, plays well in medium to heavy oil, and allows one to play inside on most house shots for a complete set. Hammer has a winner here.

This is a really good ball. Out of the box I bowled a 221. I have it drilled pin up and plan on using this for my first ball on fresh lane conditions this coming fall/winter. Really strong backend, finishes strong but not too overpowering. Looking forward to seeing how it does this season. So far it looks very promising.

PAP    4.5 right and .5 up

Specs

PAP: 4 1/2 right 1/2 up

What i was looking for:
I wanted a ball that could go deeper down the lane before making a violent snap on a oily lane but could still be able to be controlled when the lanes become a little more worn and torn.
What i got out of the ball:
A very good reaction deep down the lane and still hitting the pocket hard putting ten in the pit almost every time. On the more used lanes after some games, although, i had to switch to either less hand, which i dont like, or go down to a midnight vibe.
Would i reccommend this ball:
DEFINATELY

I really like this ball. I just returned to bowling last summer after not bowling for over 12 years. My average is 168. The first time I bowled with this ball, I rolled a 199, 228, and 155. I am a left handed bowler. This ball hooked right into the pocket and it carries well. This will be my ball to go to for freshly oiled lanes. If you purchase this ball you will like it for those conditions.

Drilled pin over fingers with mb kicked out two inches. Ball gets through the front clean with a strong mid and backend drive. On house shot able to play 15 to 5 standing 25 and I don't have alot of hand. If you have alot of hand you could use on heavy oil, but for medium rev players this is definitely one of the strongest balls out there on a medium heavy oil pattern.

Im a cranker that loves playing big angles and thats my comfort zone so i go big with this ball. I got this ball at a camp and didnt really know much about it, but after bowling with it for awhile i knew i would of spent the money to buy it. I have mine drilled for a later end reaction so it really snaps in the backend. I wont lie but ive left my fair share of tens left with this but thats all on me because of the late snap in the backend. Invest in this ball and manufacturer. Hammer is the way to go!
