I'm only about a 170-180 average bowler, and a stroker with medium ball speed. Since adding the Striking Motion to my arsenal, I've become much more consistent and consistently shooting higher sets. Before where I'd shoot 520s and 530s, now I'm hitting 570s and 580s. My first game at a tournament with it was 240. I'd recommend this ball for any down and in bowler, for any lane condition.

The SM seems to be a no nonsense ball that provides me a large area of play with exceptional carry regardless of where I hit in the pocket. I am a 55 year old 90% disabled veteran right-handed tweener with medium revs and a ball speed average approaching 16-16.5 and a 204 average. The centers I bowl in typically have a medium to dry league shot that immediately begins to transition. Out of box the SM was challenged during league play. A single coat of Ebonite Factory Finish Polish worked wonders. In local tournament play the out of box SM was awesome. League and local tournament averages with SM are between 220-240. Looking forward to trying it on our sports patterns and at the USBC Open.

I also used this ball at Bowling world in Fort Smith Arkansas during the preview on my league. I also bowled three 225+ games with no warm up and never have thrown the ball before. I loved the ball personally, it was VERY consistent, scary consistent if you hit your mark, Very powerful when contacting the pins. I also won one that night so I too am waiting on them to ship. I currently am throwing the ORIGINAL reactive ball, the sumo, so that tells you what I am comparing it to personally for reference.

I bought this ball shortly after it came out. at the time I was a two finger slinger with the intent of buying this ball to switch the 3 fingers. After about a month or so practicing I went from a avg around 145 to a 170 avg bowler and climbing. Tho I love the backend reaction the ball creates I find that , atleast the lanes I bowl on , about the beginning of the third game of my league it starts breaking alittle too early and will hit brooklynn or go straight through the headpin sometimes leaving some devastating splits. It has good-excellant pin action. I throw fairly slow with a big hook due to a shoulder issue. I just bought a Avalanche Solid that I will start practicing with for use when the lanes start to break down . But I do love my striking Motion and on very oily lanes it loves to find the pocket.

Im a cranker that plays 10 out so this ball was perfect when shined a lot. I got it drill leverage weight and it has a massive midlane move and explosive backend. also a ton of power through the pin deck. If you get a chance to get this ball. Buy 2 or 3. you wont be disappointed.

I am not much of a bowler, and I guess I shouldn\\\'t be the one to judge any ball. I haven\\\'t bowled in 40 years. My son asked me to go bowling with him, so I went. I forget how much fun it really is. Ofcause I bowled a poor 137 and 129. When I was in my 20\\\'s I only bowled a 156 average, and I never bowled a 200 in my life, and thats the truth. My 5th game with this ebonite ball I bowled a 199, and my 8th game was a 205. I know its not me it has to be this ball.
My ball is a 13lbs ball drilled out to hook as much as possible. This ball is really great. Thanks Ebonite.

I bought this ball to compliment my Total NV. I had this drilled stacked leverage for controlled arc at the backend, and it didn't disappoint. I shot a new high series with it out of the box after bowling with it only 4 days. It’s not a great looking ball like the NV series or other Ebonite balls, but the "big blue" knows how to hit which more than makes up for looks. In fact, it has a chalky film on the coverstock which, I suppose, is part of the new micro-surface technology. This easily wipes off with denatured alcohol, but will eventually come back. The coverstock of this ball is harder than most, so I hope it won't ding easily when caught up in the ball-return mechanism. If you are looking to get your first Ebonite, this might be the best choice for you.

I average 210-220. I have been bowling for 7 years and this is the best ball I have ever thrown. My friend got this ball from a friend and I recived it as a gift. My Striking Motion is drilled to go long and hard. This ball hits like a Monster truck hitting a toy car. I couldnt believe my eyes when I sawl the power in this ball. I raised my average 13 points since I purchased this ball 2 weeks ago. All 30+ games I have bowled with it since have been 215 and over. BUY THIS BALL !

I'm a semi versatile bowler so I change from down and in to somewhat of medium swing. The way that I had mine drilled allowed a smooth front lane roll with a strong backend and I love it! This ball allowed me to open the lanes up more and play from multiple breakpoints and many different angles. I could play anywhere from 39-15 to 10-5 with this ball and still thrash the pocket. I would recommend this ball to almost any style of bowler.

This ball is definately a down and in ball.
I'm fourteen years old throwing it about 14 miles per hour with a load of revs.
Every time i can play the one and two boards with it, it comes back.
My first game with the ball was a 194. That was throwing on a medium oiled lane.
Came back the next day for some freshly oiled lanes and threw my first two 300's.
My series was an 849 overall(300,300,249)
This is a great ball for a down and in bowler like myself

hello i throw about a 15 mph with med revs. My SM is drilled pin down, pin is about 2 inches from my CG and i have a decent sized wheight hole. I love this ball, its a very smooth archy ball and thats just what i wanted from it. When this ball makes contact with the pocket u can just walk back because.. its a strike. The SM can be thrown strait up, or out and in. its very versitile and works excellent on many conditions. My average has gone up about 25 pins and i shot my high game with it after like 3 games of it out of the box. i truely have no complaints about this ball other than the fact that its too amazing..

I don't have a lot to go on with this ball, but so far so good.

Used a demo of this in league last week. Shot 278, 269, and 234 with it. Not a bad series. The ball was predictable, forgiving, consistent, hit hard, and carried well. I do put some revs on the ball. The best part was that if you used the ball during league that night and had the high game with it, you won one. Now I just have to wait until it is released.

i threw this ball for a few games. it reacted the same way that my nvd reacted. i watched another kid throw it with a lot of revs and once he got lined up it was very destructive. for the high rev player this is going to be a hard hitting ball but the old down and in style players i would save your money if you have an nvd or the one.

I am very impressed with Ebonite's Striking Motion. I have mine drilled with the pin 3 1/2 inches from my axis above my ringer finger, the CG kicked out with a hole, and the mass bias 1 inch away from my thumb. My very first game with it, which was also my first game in league, was a 300. I ended the series with an 835 (300,256,279). It is a four game league and the fourth game was a 233. What impressed me most was that I was able to stay with it the entire 4 games, only running into trouble the end of the fourth game. I usually have a little bit of trouble at this center because there tends to be a lot of friction there and the higher end equipment tends to burn up, but the Striking Motion allowed me to stay with the same ball and just continue to move, while not losing any hitting power. Anyone who is looking for a ball with great hitting power that continues as the lanes break down should seriously consider this ball.

We had demo night with this ball in league. 32 people got the opportunity to throw this ball. I had 3 guys on my team throwing it, as well as 3 guys next to us. I am the stroker in the group on my lane as I have ball speed at 18+ with a ton of revs. How this ball matched up to my Total NV was like pitting a truck against a Kia. I played 5 boards right with the Striking Motion and left numerous corner pins. After the first game, I gave the ball back after throwing a 164. My next two games went 278 and 258. The guy on the lane next to me throws a tad slower but uses a very similar style to me. He did the same thing by giving the ball back. His last game was 300 with a Complete NV. The only person in our house who raved about this ball played up and in with little revs and about 15 mph ball speed. I am not impressed with this ball at all.

I threw my fourth series with this ball yesterday and shot an 809 (265, 265, 279)! My first 800 series. I threw 31 out of 34, two open frames, and a spare (I use a different spare ball).
It reacts strong and provides great pin action. I am a medium speed, left-handed, stroker who averages about 205-210 on normal house conditions.
I strongly recommend this ball. I swear by Ebonite and once again, I wasn't disappointed. Pick it up at the basement bargain rate while you can.

Danial Cohen Striking Results drill this one for me. Very smooth ball. I have medium revs, more of a powerstroker ball reads good, gives me that smoth arc to the pocket when the lanes are oily. I can move right and play down and in easily. Averaging about 225 with the ball, and highest game is a 278.
