We received one of these balls through Ebonite's Total NV Pro Shop Promotion. Based on how much we loved our Total NV we could not resist drilling this ball.
We placed the pin 5" from the PAP (5 1/8" over, 1/8" up) which placed it under our ring finger and we put the mass bias at 45 degrees. We knew based on the layout alone this would be strong. Strong does not really describe what we got out og the NV.
We used the ball with the out of box surface on a typical house shot. We normally have more than enough ball with the Total NV or any other polished high performance ball. We still had fun watching the NV get through the heads with ease and make a left hand turn at about 45-50 feet down the lane. The ball reacted so hard that even once it hit the pins it looked like it could have kept hooking.
The NV was easily 8-10 boards more hook than the Total NV. We thought Ebonite had pretty much maxed out their oil absorption time but this shell was amazing. By the time the ball got back to us the oil was gone. This coverstock is like nothing we have ever tested or seen before.
If you have the opportunity to get your hands on one of these balls get it. If not because it was produced in such limited numbers you can only hope that Ebonite decides to release this ball as a sequel to the Total NV. Keep your fingers crossed.

I happened upon the Ebonite NV bowling ball by chance at my friend's pro shop. He received it as a promo item but he had stuck it back in the corner, still in a box. He remembered he had it when I asked for something new and untried from his shop. Lucky me! This thing is so strong, it doesn't seem to lose any momentum getting through the rack. Call me selfish but I would normally keep this a secret except it would be great to see others have the chance to feel the rush when it contacts the pins. Just a monster! It also looks great too, so Ebonite, hats off to you guys for this creation. Sucks up oil so burning a line for yourself comes a lot sooner than normal and that opens up the lane to better scoring when they're tight. It'll be with me any time I go to the lanes because I know it's an advantage. I'm 48 years old and been at it for 40 of them in this sport. Honestly makes me feel excited to bowl like I'm in my twenty's again.

I was in the back of my buddies pro shop one day and asked about this ball, because I wanted something high performance that wasn't going to drain my wallet. He told me that he would sell me this ball for $50. The ball had already fit my hand and had grips and a thumb insert which was perfect. I practiced with it and it was simply amazing! The ball ran great through the heads, made a left turn, and crushed the pocket every time! I could also open up the lane about 5 boards MORE with this ball than any other ball that I have thrown. I hope that Ebonite has some more gear like this coming out soon! Everyone needs one.

The MB is a hard hitting ball. I got mine about a month and a half ago. The first 5 balls that I threw were strikes and right away I knew I would like this ball. A previous review stated that once you find your line, you just stay on that line and that is true with this ball. One month ago I bowled with 93 other people in a no tap tournament. I thew 5 9's in three games and I shot 3 300 games. Last I shot 728 w/ 4 open frames and today I shot 705 in my league. The ball was a little strong for me because my speed is 12 miles per hour, so I polished the ball a little and was then able to control it. I am very happy with this ball. I also want to Thank the gentleman at bowlingjob.com for drilling this ball for me, he did a great job.
