What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
I went with a longer pin distance from my PAP and a longer pin buffer to help smooth out the overall motion of the new Bullet Train from 900 Global. In the past I have gotten a very strong ball motion especially from the Train series.
This layout combined with the new S79 Hybrid cover should give me a really smooth over ball motion but still allow me to see enough change of direction on the backends to move in and feel comfortable swinging the ball a bit.
What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like the Bullet Train. Off my hand it offered a really good roll that was not overly sensitive to early friction. As it got down lane I saw a really strong motion that set up a very strong and consistent back end move.
As the night went on I threw it a few more times to see how it handled a little more friction and I got a really consistent ball motion over a variety conditions as the lanes broke down a bit.
I think overall this is the smoothest motion from the Train series but a really good look for me. I would suggest that if you have thrown some of the previous Trains that you give this one a look. If you have not thrown a 900 Global ball in while, you should check this one out. I am sure it will suit a variety of bowler styles on various conditions.

I was a huge fan of the Freight Train, one of the strongest balls I've thrown in a long time. Knowing that the Bullet Train would have a hybrid coverstock, I was expecting a little more length with a smooth, strong backend reaction.
What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
The Bullet Train certainly did not dissapoint! For a matte finished ball, this ball had very good length with a super smooth arcing backend motion. This ball was extremely easy to read and will be a perfect step down from the Freight Train. This ball will be a monster on carry down and crankers will love it on fresh heavy oil patterns.
If you're looking for an easy to control, strong ball with enough length to get through the heads on medium-heavy to heavy conditions, the Bullet Train is a great choice!
All aboard the Bullet Train! This is a great ball if you are looking for a more aggressive pearl. I truly love the length I get from this ball. When the heads fry I know I can turn to the Freight Train to give me the length I need in the front and a crisp turn into the pocket. This is definitely my go to ball when others are reading the lanes too early.
the bullet train is the first ball out the bag on any sport or fresh shot,it's hybrid cover allows the ball to read and react like no other hybrid, and the finish of the ball is hard and clean, when the shot breaks down or on a typical house shot you can get deep inside with confidence and still carry, this is a great bowl to open with! I use the recommended full roller drilling.

What I like most about the bullet train is its "train core", this symmetric core is very controllable down the lane, making it especially valuable on fresh or more demanding patterns like USBC open. I first tried using this on fresh house pattern 39 feet, and its cover was a little too strong for me. So I took it back to shop and took it through NEAT finishing system starting with N and ending with T and dirty ragged the cover. Well the results were better than expected. That next week I shot 822 with ball when nobody else on pair shot better than 675! This ball will allow "heavier hand" players like myself or players with low rev rates be able to get inside of oil line of pattern and just be able to change or hand position and watch the ball respond to what you want to do with it. This will probably be my first ball out of bag this year at USBC open championships. My pap is 5 15/16 by 5/16 up, I drilled this one with a six inch pin. Well done 900 global!
