This is the 2nd U2 I've bought within 3 months. I'm downsizing my equipment from 15-14 pounds due to shoulder problem. Generally use it 3rd game when lanes get a bit squirly or dry. Won $625 for a 2nd place finish in a local tournament just after I got it so it paid for itself. Just got the 14 pounder drilled but won't be using it till after I recover from minor shoulder surgery. I have it drilled aggressive which helps a little when the lanes aren't really dry.

I was looking for a ball for dry lanes. I did get exactly, what I wanted.

It is as predictable and as conservative as expected. But, I am very surprised about the strong hitting power of this ball.

The maintenance is very easy. Also the durability seems to be good.

If you are a rookie, starting with a hook, and if you do not face tournament oil patterns but typical house shot patterns, I warmly recommend this ball to you. It is easy to handle but anyhow powerful.

If you are a sophisticated player needing a ball for dry lanes, that does not overreact, you must test it !

I was after a urethane ball to replace my Blue Hammer and spotted this one at my pro shop and decided to give it a go when he offered me a deal.
It has very similar characteristics to the BH in that it is versatile. You can get it to hook or go much straighter at the spares.
I am a 3/4 stroker bowling at about 12 -13 mph so find the resin balls tend to get away on me once the conditions become patchy and find the basic adjustments work for you with this one.
Well worth considering.

For those of you waiting for a great urethane ball- THIS IS IT! To be expected the ball is very rolly as a urethane shell will produce. I use this ball on medium to dry lanes and if there is a track built in this ball is unstoppable. In the last three weeks on my house condition I have at least one game over 260 and the first week a 289. Keep the surface clean and don't overscuff in order to maintain a predictable reaction.

COMMENTS
Likes: On this pattern when everything else was over/under, the Classic was beast. Played up 8 starting in game 4 and the ball would hook set very consistently and a little bit of miss right and the ball could still recover but had an arrow on the left where the ball would hold line. Went +217 for 4 games with, so its paid for itself 10 fold. If you bowl on short patterns, this ball needs to be in your bag.
Dislikes: Even with the Resurgance core, the cover won't allow this ball to be used on heavier patterns.
