The Omen is a new upper mid performance ball from Columbia 300. The low Rg/ high differential core is wrapped up by Bend-it reactive coverstock. This Ball is designed for higher oil volumes because of its high surface friction and aggressive sanding process. This ball will rev early and show you strong continuation. A good ball choice for speed dominate and low rev players.

I drilled this ball for a buddy of mine for Xmas. His wife told me to get him a ball that will hook...a lot! I chose the OMEN for its simplicity in design and columbia's reputation for making great semetric bowling balls. I drilled it stacked and this ball is a beast!! This might be my next ball! My buddy's first night out with it he shot 720. He's a low rev down and in player and averages right around 200.. This has been the first ball that he has had to put away after the first two games of league. This ball has brought back his drive to bowl tournements again.

This ball is amazing on oil. 185 avg two leagues a week. I highly recommend this ball if you are looking for something with that smooth arc that just sets up to annihilate the pocket. only had it for three weeks and have bowled 630 plus each set with this ball, the nice thing about it is that you can adjust enough to keep in the oil and still have room to play with this ball. I've thrown three different lines with it and it just is always there. Can't wait to go to Nationals with this ball and let em rip there. This is a great ball for someone who throws a faster ball because it will still read the oil and react. I roll tweener with 14 - 15 mph. GREAT BALL!!!

I have my ball drilled with the pin 1"1/2 above my ring finger. I really like the way the Omen hooks when the lanes break down. I usually start in fresh oil with my Defiant Soul and transition to a Dark Encounter. If I want to get right or when the lanes break down more, I go to the Omen. It has greating hooking power as I am throwing the ball on the back end close to 17 to 18 and with medium rotation. So my ball needs to hook up or it just slides straight. The Omen hooks up for me so it is my transition ball I go to when the lanes break down. I could start with the ball and go far right, but I like to start center board, so I always start with a very aggressive ball. I have bowled my Omen on house shots, long and short. Tournaments. It works great anywhere and any oil pattern. I guess when you have a great ball and can control it, it will work anywhere.

I\'m a left-handed, 195 bowler who bowls in three leagues and subs in another. Bought this ball to replace my Virtual Gravity which has well over 600 games on it. I don\'t put excessive revs on my ball, so I wanted a ball with a strong, but controllable curve and this is what the guy at my local pro shop recommended for me. Had it drilled Saturday and took it out last night for the first time. After a practice game to see what to expect from it, I went 211-207-252 for a 670. I was very impressed. For my \"normal shot\", I stand on the 17 board and throw the 2nd arrow. I could move out to the 14th board or so and throw with a little more speed, and it seemed to do alright, but it did need the extra speed or it would come in quick. Where it really seemed to shine was standing on the 20 board and getting it farther out on the lane and rolling it to the 7 or 8 board. It recovers nicely, crashing into the pocket & hits hard. The Sunday league had just bowled on the lanes, so it was a little on the dry-ish side, basically like my 2nd shift Tuesday shot. I am anxious to see what it does on freshly oiled lanes.

Great heavy oil ball!! Normally feel like I need to touch surface with a little grit to make sure that i don't get any wiggle but not with this one. Seems to create large foot print but has great continuation through the pins.
It is not for every pattern but it should be the ball of choice on the soup.
