The Thumb Protector is for bowlers that have a lot issues with there thumb. Helps prevent calluses and blisters and reduces friction so your release is clean. The grip you will get helps you from dropping the ball at release.

Works great. Better than other brands I've tried. Great value and has held up very well. Love the little piece of leather on the tip. Stops all blisters immediately.

This is a nice piece of equipment, at first I was alittle sketchy about it and I thought it was like the others but I bought it and I'm glad I did... it has helped prevent the blisters I get after 12 games, and it also has a leather patch for your thumb which makes it that much better than the other thumb savers that have no grip at all

I'm a regular user of the Brunswick version of this item. Without it, my thumb swells and begins to stick bad. With it, I get a consistently smooth release, no matter how many games I bowl. Yes, you have to have the thumbhole drilled larger(one size for me) for it to work. I ordered the Bowlingball.com version just to compare it to the Brunswick. It is virtually the same. If you look real close the stitching on the Bowlingball.com version has more stitches per inch. The patch on the thumbtip is identical on both and it isn't leather, it's some type of vinyl that works great. Since they're virtually identical, the price is the same and they're both made in China, there is no clear winner. Maybe the stitching will make a longevity difference, but I doubt it. I have yet to wear out the Brunswick, so I don't know the weakness yet. If you have troubles maintaining a smooth, consistent release, I say get either one.

I bowl in a very old center with lousy HVAC which gets very hot and humid. My hand/thumb get so wet and sticky I couldn't get my thumb out of the ball after 1/2 a game. This device works extremely well. I had to really shove my thumb in since I didn't redriill the ball but it still worked great. 3 games, total confidence, no sticking. Big, big fan so far.
