About the Bowler

Bowling Hand:
Right Handed
Experience:
Intermediate (I hook the ball a little)
The Mongoose Optimum is fantastic. I always struggled with proper release and how to lift and get rotation on the ball. I didn't know what a proper release felt like. NOW I DO.It forces your hand and fingers into the proper position for a good release. You still need to put in a little effort (it can't throw the ball for you)but if you need to learn how to properly release and get the ball to rotate this is an invaluable tool.Highly recommended. So glad I bought one !

About the Bowler

Since having wrist surgery, I needed some support for my wrist to continue to bowl. The Mongoose Optimum provided just that. My wrist doesn't bother me and the Optimum allows me to release the ball as I should without having to compensate.

About the Bowler

Great for consistent hand position and getting thumb out of ball properly. The material that device is made of is much more comfortable than the others made of metal or leather. I have used Mongoose for the past 15 years and will for as long as I can.

The best non-adjustable wrist brace on the market. Gives you great support and comfort, but also alows you to still use your wrist to move to allow for different rolls and more power. I can play stroker or craker without ever taking off this device and still have that great support in the back of my wrist. I loved the Lifter, but I love the palm strap design with the lifter on the Optimum as it gives me more control. If you struggle with this brace, I would suggest shortening your span or go with the Lifter as it does not have the palm strap which will cause your fingers to stretch a bit.

About the Bowler

No, unfortunately I find I cannot bowl with this wrist strap. It hampers my release and backswing. I will keep trying to persevere with it, as I feel it should help me with my delivery of the ball. However I am averaging 187 without it, so not sure what is going on with my release?

About the Bowler

A quality constructed product. I think I need to work with it a bit more to get full advantage. I find it comfortable and good looking. Being a fairly new bowler, I find a smaller less restricting support works well for me presently. I am sure as I advance in the sport I will do well with my Mongoose Optimum.
