About the Bowler
League Average:
157
Ball Speed:
Slow
Bowling Hand:
Right Handed
Experience:
Intermediate (I hook the ball a little)
i got this wrist brace because i am a new bowler and was having a hard time with making consistent shots. my avg is a 157 and the last six games i bowled i have been 169-187 with this product. It helped me be more consistent in my shots and have no problem with four strikes in a row.the only thing i did not like is i have never used one before and it did not come with instructions but i called customer service at Storm and they emailed them to me in mins.

First, using the lastest released sizing chart. With the correct fit the Gizmo definitely helps provide a hand release position that increases the revs and hence hook and enhanced impact at the pins.
It is definitely a plus and I like the Gizmo big time.

About the Bowler
My average is a 124, I've had this item for only 3 days now and bowled my first 2 turkeys, a hambone, and scores ranging from 160 to 178 scratch. I am VERY pleased with this product.

1. The darn thing is a little small for me. The old Storm \\\"XL was a little larger & fits my hand better.
2. The finger brace is about 1/2\\\" too short. This puts too much pressure on the end of my index finger.
3. I can use it but prefer the old Storm Brace.(Not the Gadget, the older one). I have two of the older braces left & both are getting worn out at the swivel area. I use htese because of athritis.

I have strong wrists but have a habit of "breaking" my wrist during my delivery and getting a straighter ball motion rather than the hook I was seeking. I originally bought a Mongoose lifter which is also a great product but did not provide enough hand cup positioning. The Gizmo allows quick adjustments ranging from a "broke wrist straight ball" to extremely cupped for more rotation. It also has lateral adjustments to provide more or less revs on the ball.
The only thing I don't like about the Gizmo is the Velcro on the forearm strap. If you aren't using a hand liner it can be irritating to your arm. By the way, I am a blind bowler with a 80 average that has increased pin count by 60 pins. I have and will continue to recommend this to anyone.

I had been using a non adjustable wrist support this past season. I'm 63 years old and do not have the consistency with my release anymore. Borrowed this support from a friend last week, using my Roto Grip Menace WOW!!!
I have not seen my ball react or roll this way for many years. Throw a 225 out of the gate. Then took the support off and noticed a significant lack of wrist support. I'm SOLD, looking forward to my Fall league using the Gizmo XF
