Put the heat on the competition with the Hot Sauce Pearl, Hammer's most dangerous ball yet.

Pin to PAP(4 1/2" over 1/2" up) - 6"
CG Placement - under middle finger
Balance Hole - n/a

Surface Preparation - Left at Box Finish (2000 Grit Abralon with Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish )

What I Was Looking For In This Layout: After throwing the original Sauce, I wanted something that was going to give me more length down the lane and a more aggressive ball motion at the breakpoint.

What I Ended Up With In This Ball Layout: My first impression was that the ball rolled well for me, but did not give me the motion I was looking for at the breakpoint. I was looking for a little more snap at the breakpoint, but it gave me a more gradual motion towards the pocket. Once I got the ball to the pocket, there was no issue in carry. This ball still hits as hard as the brand name, like a Hammer.

This ball allows me to play the lanes straighter due to the layout I used on the ball. It stores energy well and carries nicely. I ended up making a surface adjustment after a few games to increase the overall reaction. I sanded the surface to 500 grit abralon and used a light polish to finish. This allowed me to match up better to the house shot conditions that I bowl on most often. I could move in a little deeper and get the ball to read the mid lane much more.

The Hot Sauce Pearl works well for me on the medium oil patterns. If I get this on heavier patters, it doesn't match up with my speed and tends to go through the breakpoint for me. This could also be due to the layout I used on this ball. I would recommend putting a stronger layout on this ball for more reaction.

I am not sure where to go with this review. The ball rolled just ok for me. This may not be a fair review as I also tried a different layout that I am not used to. I put the pin below my middle finger, which put it further from my PAP than normal.

Overall, when I through it well, the ball hit pretty hard. It doesn't quite have the snap in the backend, so the overall motion is more smooth.

I can't complain, Hammer still make great bowling balls, this one will have a place in my arsenal.

Man what to say about this ball. The ball has some wicked backend. Took a bit for me to control this one but once I was dialed in, strike city. I wouldnt throw this on dry lanes lol.

First let me start by saying I probably have no right writing a review. I have not bowled in 17 years and my friends have convinced me I need to bowl in a league next winter. So I went out and bought to of the most talked about balls i could find on the web. One being the Hot Sauce Pearl.

First game no warmups with the other popular ball 179 with 2 opens one in the ninth. Not by any means the balls fault. All I was trying to do was find an approach and release I was confortable with.

Second game I switch to the Hot Sauce and move to an old familiar line. Standing with my left foot at 17 and targeting 6 I rolled a clean game for 218. This ball did exactly what it was advertised to do. Go long and hook hard at the back end.

Not bad for a saturday afternoon with two birthday parties flanking me and years of rust on my game. This ball gave me room to miss both inside my target and out.

Next time I shoot the set with this ball and see what I can do.

I had this ball Drilled with the Strong layout. It ended up with the pin just to the right of the ring finger, and the CG kicked a bit. The reaction is very smooth on the oil, but once it hits the dry backend, LOOKOUT! The move is sharp, aggressive, and direct to the pocket. Probably the most pronounced Skid/Flip I have witnessed on a ball.

I pre-ordered this ball nearly a month ago, and I must say I was like a kid on Christmas when it arrived today and punched it up.

I wasn't sure if this would replace my Cell Pearl in my bag, but after today it's a done deal.

this ball is a perfect compliment to the original sauce. it does what its supposed to do and thats go longer than the sauce. it hits just as hard and reads the lane well in light to medium/heavy oil. i will say though that i had to sand it down to 1000 to get just a little more hook. out of the box it just went a little too long but its fine now. great ball if you want something to go long and hit hard.

About the Bowler

In practice, right after I got it, not much movement, but really nice backend, all strikes... Warmup for leagues samething, but I still wasn't adjusted to the new fitting, grips and all... Once I got used to it, and started throwing the way I'm used to, nothing but 4, 5, 7, and 10 pins. I was like a german yelling no all night, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9,... 204 Ave, first night with it, 501 series. I'm hoping once I get a track in the ball and get more than 4 games on it, the carry will improve, but after the first night, it seemed like the more rev's put on it, the worse the carry got. I'm going to sue hammer for false advertising, be cause the only thing that got burned was my average. I'll give it a couple more weeks, about 12 more games, and will give an update to this reveiw, but first impression, if you don't throw a lot of revs, it'll probably work, but if you do, expect to shoot a lot of single pin spares... Look for an update in a week or two.

Wow! What a great ball! I purchased the Hot Sauce Pearl in April 2009. The first time I went out to bowl with it I shot a 259 game, which would lead to a 707 series. That next Saturday, in my junior league, I rolled games of 269,300,264 for an 833 series. Buying this ball enabled me to average nearly 260 over the first six games I bowled with it. Still using that same ball over 6 months later I carry a 215 average with it. I have also won several tournaments with the Hot Sauce Pearl. This was, by far, the best $150. I have ever spent. Even at 14 years old I would recommend this ball to anyone serious about bowling.

The only lane condition I could find for this ball was a THS where I could throw straight up the boards on the outside. If I used it there and put plenty of hand in my shot, I had something that read the breakpoint well and hit strong. However, if I didn't "hit" the ball, it would sometimes roll as straight as my Vis-a-Ball. It was incosistent and has been permanently placed on the shelf.

I have a BWP and Reign that are much better pearlized balls that this waste of money.

I picked up a hot sauce a few weeks ago and drilled it pin under the ring finger with cg slighly kicked out.It seemed this ball needed a few games to break it in before i started to like the reaction.I got good length with a strong backend but not like i thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to have more of a sharper backend too it but i got more of really strong arc probably due partly to the layout. It has been a really predictable ball for me that i use on a medium house shot or after the lanes break down in a tournament. Its a little stronger than my widow pearl with a little less on the backend.I do have to say the more i throw it the more im liking the reaction.

I personally have over 25 balls in my arsenal and this is one of my favorites. Right out of the box it has given me consistent results and has been my go to ball when I am in trouble. Good back in. Easy to control. And consistent. I have a Hammer The Sauce as well but this new hammer is nothing to compare to it. It is a great ball and I would recommend it to anyone. Also it is a good looking ball.

I got this ball through the PBA Experience league this past May. This was the first pearl ball I've ever owned and reacted in a completely unexpected manner for me, so it took a while for me to figure out how it reacts on various lane conditions.

I started playing around with it on the Kegal Challenge league and have been averaging around 190 on the Beaten Path pattern. On 7/22 I was shooting on a regular house shot (different league, different house) and throwing only the Hot Sauce, I shot my highest game - 278 - and managaged to get my highest series - 726. That's my first 700!

I stick with the Ebonite product in general, but this ball has made me a Hammer fan for life.

This ball is the best. I now have 2 since I am bowling on wooden lanes it is taking quite a beatin. Both are drilled the same just one is used for tournaments only. In out of the box cover, The pin is just below the ring finger with a weight hole right below the cg and I get the best kick. Gets thru the heads nice and smooth with even reaction and when it gets to the back end it turn left nice and hard. This is the best ball by hammer I have owned. Until this ball the Hammer Doom was the best hammer ball ever. If you are looking for a ball that gets thru heads clean & hooks nice n hard on the back end this is the ball for you. Hammer you have a winner here!

Long length and a very stong backend. Has a smooth motion that allows you to control the ball. A great ball to add to the rotation. A great ball from Hammer.

I've been in a slump lately, between 550 series and 590 series average in leagues and tournaments. Its been a dry spell since my last low 600 series. I bought the Hammer Hot Sauce 2 weeks ago, and I've shot 648, 654, and 674 series in a row. Luck? I don't think so. There's less snap at the back end than my Black Widow Spider Pearl but a much much better drive and finish. Not half as many 10 pens as before. That's all I got to say about that...

The hot sauce is an ok ball but the sauce is much better because the hot sauce's reaction and ability to hold oil is not even close to as good as the sauce.

Once again Hammer has out done them selves. The new Hammer Hot Sauce is an very, very strong ball, even when you run into a heavy amount of oil. This ball is also very versitile for being an high performance ball. I also love how it is a very contorlling/arc, instead of a ball that can be to aggressive and snappy of the backends. I highly suggest this ball to be added to your arsnal when you want a ball to be clean through the heads when an amazing reaction off the backends
