The Pure Hammer Burgundy is perfect for flat out fried conditions. Some of the recreational party oriented bowling alley chains that have opened in recent years maintain an extremely short oil condition, because they think that works better for their typical customers. So if you show up with your normal equipment you can become very familiar with the opposite gutter. The Pure Hammer is a perfect antidote to this condition. It also works reliably on short Sport conditions. It is smooth and consistent and when it hits the pocket all the pins fall down, just like with the big boomers. (The red is supposed to be stronger than the black version - I've only thrown the red and I don't find it too much for any condition.)
