Columbia Nitrous new release there are four colors. The rollis very easy to get down the lane with flip in the backend.Great ball for slower ball speeds and for the tough oil patterns.

This ball is truly something special. Yes, it's an entry level ball, but the versatility it provides is seriously amazing. I went with a 50x5x50 drilling on mine, which gives me a good benchmark reaction. No, this ball is not a huge fan of oil, but on most house shots, you honestly don't need a lot more ball than this, if you like playing around 8-9-10, or have slightly slower speed, or a high rev rate. The ball is super continuous and WAY outperforms the price point.

About the Bowler

I love this ball! I am a beginner, just started hooking the ball a few months ago with this ball. Learning the different things in Bowling so really don't know much about layouts. I average a 130. This ball has increased my average to 159 with my best being a 206. I love this ball.

Drilled this ball up on the Rico layout which is a 5" pin to pap for me. Knocked the shine off of the factory finish with a 2000 siaair pad going 30sec on 6 six sides by hand on a ball spinner. Ball is exactly what I was looking for as a great replacement for my Brunswick Strike King on the same layout. Clean through the front part of the lanes and picks up nicely for a strong finish on the backends. The 2000 surface adjustment helps keep the ball from skidding to far and being overly jumpy off of the friction. Used on our drier summer house shot and on the Sphinx and Beaten Path patterns in my summer sport league with good success. Great ball for the price point that can be a good option in any bowlers bag. A great ball to keep you out of trouble when the lanes get tough as well.

As a two-handed bowler, I often struggle to keep the ball to the right of the head pin when bowling on wooden lanes. I have had limited success with other balls in the past. I have tried low-flare balls, dry-lane balls, and even urethane. None of those balls have been able to consistently give me the ball reaction I was looking for.

The Nitrous seems to fit that role very nicely. The ball makes a smooth transition when it goes from the wet to the dry. No vicious snap when the ball hits the dry, but more like a controlled and consistent hook. Once I find a good line to the pocket, the ball just seems to want to stay there.

This ball fills the spot that has been missing in the C300 line. This ball is great for the beginner just starting out or the pro that needs to move into the burn when the lanes get dry.

This ball clears the front part of the lane excellent and does not over react in the dry. I use this late in the day and have been able to stay straighter when the rest of the field has to move in.
Highly recommend for that weak ball in the bag.

Nitrous – Is a new Green Line product that not only fits your wallet or purse but is also very pleasing to the eye. The new Boost/R cover comes in 4 color variations. I chose the Black/Silver because the color scheme more or less jumped out at me. It has the same bite on the lanes that Columbia owners have come to insist upon.
The Nitrous also introduced a new 2-piece core design that offers the same solid hitting power found in C300 balls while also adding predictability throughout the entire lane. This cover/core cohesiveness, along with the very affordable price tag are the reasons you need to pick one up.
My Nitrous is drilled with the pin above and between the fingers. This setup permits me to not only use it on lighter house patterns but also on the tougher Kegel Challenge and other lower volume Sport patterns. It is very clean through the front and picks up really well at 40 – 45 feet. Being more of an “up the lane” kinda guy, I have not pushed the limit and try to use it deep inside. I can say however, that as I migrate from outside of the 5 board to about 15, I do not lose any carry.
All in all, this ball is a part of my traveling arsenal and feel it complements the pieces that I currently have in my bag. The Nitrous is definitely a bowling bag that you can afford to buy and cannot afford to be without.

Boost your scores with the new Columbia 300 Nitous! This lower mid priced ball is a great first addition for a beginner or an AMAZING dry lane ball for the more experienced player. Coming in great new colors this year, this ball turns heads later in league nights or for longer blocks when you need to get through the fronts easier. Just because it is a lower level ball, this doesn't mean it doesn't strike. I have had much success on dry lanes with the Nitrous line, and you will not be disappointed if you give one of these a shot!

The Nitrous is a lot of bang for your buck. This has been a great piece for me to go to when the heads are fried but I don't want to chase it too far left. This ball is conditional as to be expected. There needs to be friction. This is a great option to add to your bag for a weaker piece a step above urethane. Also a nice option for people with slow ball speeds. One of the best entry level reactives I have thrown.

This is going to be my benchmark ball this year. It rolls smooth and is very readable. I drilled it 75 X 4 1/4 X 30

This ball fits for any level bowler. For the tournament bowler this ball is great for late in the day when the heads are gone and the lanes are burnt. For the beginner who needs great performance ball that doesn't cost as much as the higher end this is a great choice. You don't have to spend $200 to get a great ball this will do the job.

If you are looking for a low end ball for when the lanes dry out or get a little harder late in the tournament this may be the best option out there. I Love this ball!! It clean and get through the drys like you need and stores energy to still hit hard and carry good down lane. Pick your favorite color and when people around you struggle a little because they start getting harder just bring this ball out and continue to put up scores.

This ball is great my league average is 180. The practice game I threw a 211 on unfamiliar lanes. Then on my first league use I threw a 679 series. The 2nd league game I opened with 9 strikes, but shaking legs spoiled my 300 chance. Great ball.

This ball fits in great to the Columbia 300 line for a tournament bowler or the beginner. If you are a beginner and looking for a great ball at a good price point then any of the Nitrous colors will be great to start with and go from there. It is smooth and consistent and will give you some motion down lane depending on you release. Now if you are a tournament bowler, this ball will be great for later in the block or when you are caught on a pair that is just burnt. I went with a standard over the label drill and this ball is clean through the fronts even on the burn and still has enough motor to get it over down lane. When you need that ball in your bag to finish the tournament and help you get the win then the Columbia 300 Nitrous just might be for you. If you have any questions or want to know about any other Columbia or EBI equipment feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will help if I can. Thank you!
