Hammer Rebel Yell great ball for medium oil very clean through the front with a strong move in the backend. Very easy to take care of also just clean with ball cleaner and you are ready for another fun night with Hammer Rebel Yell.

The third addition to the Rebel line, the Rebel Yell is a great ball for lighter/medium oil conditions such as most league shots. This ball produces more length than either the Rebel or Rebel solid and as such creates a more angular motion down lane. Drilled 4 x 4 x2, this ball produced the kind of angular motion Hammer is known for in their pearl balls. Strong entry to the pocket and enough energy to get those pesky corner pins out!! If you want a ball that's clean through the front with strong angular motion down lane on lighter to medium patterns without breaking the bank...then the Rebel Yell might be the perfect fit.

Here are my thoughts about the 3rd edition to the Hammer Rebel line of bowling balls…the Hammer Rebel Yell. The Rebel Yell features the same symmetrical core in previous Rebels. The coverstock used is “juiced pearl”. The box finish for the ball is 2000 Abralon with Factory Finish polish. The color is a bright steel/blue/yellow pearl swirl.
I am on Hammer staff and my vitals are a 405 rev rate with a PAP of 5 9/16 over and 1/8 up. I have drilled my Rebel Yell with a 45 x 4 ½ x 40 layout, weight hole on PAP and have thrown it at box surface and at 2000 Abralon. I have tried the ball on a variety of THS.
I drilled my Rebel Yell with a similar layout to one of my favorite original Rebels which I have had great success on longer sport patterns with medium volume. I find the new Rebel Yell to be a little more angular than the original Rebel likely due to the coverstock difference. I did prefer the ball at 2000 Abralon as that blended out any over/under on the THS. Generally speaking, unless I am bowling on very high friction surface/low volume of oil, I usually dust off at a minimum any factory polish regardless of the ball released. That being said, with the addition of surface, the Rebel Yell had no issues getting around the corner like the original Rebel.
This ball is definitely best suited to medium to lighter volumes of oil and depending on layout, can work on a variety of pattern distances. Like with the original Rebel, the Rebel Yell should work for many different styles but I think bowlers with medium ball speeds and/or rev dominant players will really appreciate this new Hammer!
See your local pro shop for more information about the Rebel Yell by Hammer!

About the Bowler
I absolutely loved the Rebel and Rebel Solid so I was super excited to hear about this Rebel Yell. The Rebel Yell gives me a lot of room and provides a lot of versatility. My misses right recovered, and my misses left held. This ball is very controllable and does not lose its energy. For me, the Rebel Yell has a little more overall motion and back end than the Rebel, but is cleaner than the Rebel Solid. It is the perfect fit between the 2 and I firmly believe that this ball can and will compliment anyone.
In my personal opinion, I think this ball will be great on house shots or any medium oil conditions.
Highly recommend!!!!!

This ball gives me a much different look than the other Rebels. I had better success with a lower pin so the ball would start to read the lane a little sooner and this seemed to tame down the amount of hook in the back and made the ball much more predictable. The heavier roll this ball has seems to also create more hitting power into the pocket. For me the ball is best suited for medium volume oil patterns.

For me, the new RebeL YELL definitely is a stronger version of the original Rebel that was released last year. With the stronger pearl coverstock, the Yell can handle the medium lane patterns much better than the original. For me, the original was a little too smooth to my liking for a pearl ball. The new Yell offers a much sharper motion down the lane and is the perfect ball for the transitions and when the lanes are a little drier in the end of the league / tournament games. The symmetrical weight block helps revs up in the midlanes, which then provides a controllable skid/flip ball motion. This is definitely gonna be in my bag for future tournaments for sure! I have had a few different styles of bowlers throw this ball and all 3 have been impressed with the ball motion that they saw.
This ball comes with Hammer’s 3 year warrantee which provides the BEST value for your $$$!
I think the new RebeL YELL will be a great ball for the typical medium lane patterns that offers a clean motion through the fronts with a sharper ball motion off the spot down the lane.

I drilled mine using a 75 x 5x 35 dual angle layout which put this pin over my ring finger. This ball is a must have if you are looking for a ball that is very clean through the fronts, stores energy through the mids, and gives a strong skid/flip motion on the back end. This ball will be amazing on house shots and medium patterns!! Click on the video section to watch this ball go down the lane.

I drilled my Rebel Yell with a 4.5 in below my fingers with CG in the center of my grip. I did not make any surface alterations to the cover. The Rebel Yell glides through the front part of the lane with ease and revs up nicely in the midlane with a strong even move in the backend. I love the shape and how it keeps the pins low with great carry. I would say this ball is about 3 boards stronger than my original Rebel with more pop on the backend. Great ball and a great price point. The Rebel Yell is definitely a piece worth looking at if you are looking for a new ball for Christmas.

Rebel Yell with the Juiced Pearl coverstock over the Rebel core is a nice ball for Med to dry conditions. Rebel Yell gives me more length and a stronger backend than the original Rebel. I did end up scuffing the cover with a 2000 Abralon pad to smooth out the transition at the back of the pattern. Love the color scheme too!

The new Hammer Rebel Yell is the best in the rebel line yet. This is a great symmetrical ball that super clean through the fronts with a very predictable and smooth back end motion. This ball is a must for leagues, It keeps the pins low and carry is awesome. For the price point this new release from hammer is a must for every style bowler.

The Rebel Yell is a great go to ball later in the games or when you need something to allow you to play deep inside but still have the power to kick the corners. With the great looking colors and the smooth roll, you’ll definitely make heads turn. Wouldn’t hurt to YELL like a REBEL while you’re at it.

I was very happy with the Original Hammer Rebel, but the Hammer Rebel Yell I was very IMPRESSED with. This ball has the original Rebel core but with Juiced Pearl coverstock gives this ball more bit on the backend motion. When your Hammer Rebel doesn't make the move to get the corner pins out, The Hammer Rebel Yell WILL. Works well with medium conditions and when the lanes start to open up. I have a layout of 45 x 3 5/8 x 60 Pin Down with a 1 inch Pin

This ball absolutely impressed me! I was not expecting to have the versatility with this ball that I do. The Rebel Yell gives me the ability to play the lanes a lot straighter than I usually would but it also allows me to play the lanes extremely deep, conserving its energy until the end and never seems to "burn up". When the lanes start to get a little drier or I am in need of a ball that will get through the fronts this is absolutely the first ball that comes to mind!!

COMMENTS:
Just when you think there couldn’t be a ball better than the OG Rebel……Well here it is, Hammer’s New Rebel Yell! This ball is the same shape as OG rebel with more continuation downlane and about 4 to 5 more boards of hook and this baby can pick up on top of the pattern. This is a big skid flid ball. A lot of hook in this price point.

This ball is great. I have a pin up rebel Yell, and compared to the other Rebel's this ball reads the mid lane a lot sooner and has an angular back end motion. This ball is great for the break down between games 1 and 2, or really late if your bowling numerous games in a row. I changed the surface to mine with a 1000 abralon and used powerhouse factory polish for the shine.

It has a tremendous amount of hitting power, sending messenger after messenger across the deck. I highly recommend this ball for anyone's bag. Was able to get and drill this ball with one of my old favorite layouts. With the help of the BLUEPRINT program I saw ball motion from this ball tat i hadn't seen in awhile. Drilled it pin down under my bridge with a cg swing just under 40 degrees. Even with this ball being a pearl i get some good read in the mid lane. Just enough read to set this ball up for an EXPLOSIVE finish through the pins. If your looking for a strong pearl piece with a strong finish look no further. The Rebel YELL is a AWSOME purchase. Very good bang for you buck.

Best Rebel in the line! The Juiced Cover really sees the lane well and loves friction. I can start with this ball and trust that it will hook when I need it to and that will always loosen someone's swing! This ball is a little cleaner through the front than the Diesel with the same hitting power.
