Great shoe. No breaking in, out of the box it fit very comfortably. I was looking for a shoe that helped maintain my balance and controlled breaking. This shoe delivered. I was in a slump, my average fell to 180. Got this shoe I am averaging 219. It allows me to bowl with confidence and without fear of falling.

Wow, Dexter really out did themselves this time with the new 9's. This shoe features a great sharp appeal to bowlers everywhere, this shoe is going to be a great seller to any bowler, unfortunately you have to buy the traction and slide soles separately but with a shoe like The 9 , Its well worth it!

Loved the shoes but the standard sole doesn't work on the lanes I bowl on. Good thing I purchased 2 extra soles. $29.95 price for extra soles is highway robbery.

I always have trouble finding shoe in general that fit my 8.5 4E paddles, and a very hard time finding bowling shoes. I usually wind up with a shoe that is 1-1.5 sizes too long and still tight. Needless to say, the toes drag and wear out, or I split the seams. The 9's integrated toe/sole will take care of one problem, and the shorter/boxier design has helped with the other. I am able to get away with a wide size 9 in this shoe and it is just a little snug. A light pair of socks and I'm fine for league play. The shoe is comfortable and the most stable feeling I have ever had on the lanes. I'm hopeful that they will stretch out a bit so I can wear heavier socks for longer sets.

My only complaint about these shoes is the lack of a pre-fit H7 heel. Definitely not consistent with a high end shoe to have to rough cut and slap on a heel yourself.
