DV8 Pitbull love the roll in the front very smooth with all the backend you need. Drilled one for a customer that wanted a stronger ball for heavy oil. She was very pleased with the roll it opened up the lane for her gave her that free swing.

They told me this ball was going to hook a lot and they are correct! The Pitbull is great on heavy oil. I have used the Pitbull on league patterns and goes through the pins with so much power! I drilled my Pitbull 50x4.75x30 and it rolls so clean. I have the Pitbull hooking about 5 more board than my original Grudge but, It rolls off the dry boards much cleaner and picks up in the oil a little sooner. If there is oil on the lane I will be using this ball first. I left this ball box finish and I can get into 20 with this ball and still makes the corner with plenty of power. If you need a ball to help you with some oily patterns this is the ball to get, you won’t be disappointed it is the real deal!

Bowler Specs- Ball Speed: 17-18, Rev Rate: 500, Layout: Full Roller; pin out 3.5 inches, Pattern: House
To say the Pitbull adds a new dimension of hook to the DV8 line would be an understatement. I had this ball at least 4 boards more than my grudge with the same layout, but the same shot shape. The Pitbull is a great ball when you need help getting the ball to work in the mids and yet still be continuous at the pocket, or when you need the ball to control the breakpoint more than your big pearl. The biggest positive had from the Pitbull is that as hard as it worked in the mids, it didn’t burn up as it got to the pins. I had no issues getting the Pitbull through the fronts even at box finish of 1000, and I also loved it with some polish, allowing the ball to be a little longer through the mids and a little sharper on the backend. I recommend this ball to all bowlers, especially those with higher ball speeds and those with lower rev rates.

This bowling ball is an amazing one for your arsenal.If you need a bowling ball,that saves energy until it gets to the pins. Great bowling ball to bowl on long oil. For a dull bowlin ball it gets clean through the fronts. Drilled it pin up,with the CG kicked in.

This ball was made to hook and will hook on heavy oil patterns coming back from any angle with a continuous motion through the pins. This ball hooks more the Absolut Nirvana with more length. If you are looking for a ball to hook the Pitbull is your ball.

The Pitbull has a low RG Asymmetric core and with its 500/1000 Siaair pad finish this ball is a monster for those heavy oil lane conditions. I used this ball in a tournament for every game except one. Even when I was at 4th and 5th arrow the ball still carried very well. Really great ball if you’re looking for something for heavier oil conditions.

I've owned every DV8 ball that has been made, and this ball is by far the strongest of them all. The pin, mass bias, and CG are stacked straight on my ball and I had it drilled pin about one inch above and to the right of the ring finger with everything else stacked in line below. It's a 3 inch pin ball. I haven't found a shot in my area, yet, that the Pitbull couldn't cut through. It picks up in the midlane, but does a great job of not burning out. It drives through the pins and packs quite a punch when it flies into the pocket. If you are having trouble dealing with oil, the DV8 Pitbull is definitely for you. It will cut through it and destroy the pins. This ball is truly as mean as it sounds.

Incredible ball reaction. Its strong, but flippy. Great for sport shots or patterns with a lot of oil in the middle.
High Rev players will probably want to take the surface up a little to get more length.

I drilled mine 70 x 4 3/8 x 40. The coverstock name of Composite Bite is very fitting for this dynamic ball. If you are looking for the perfect ball in heavy oil, this is the ball for you. Not only does this ball hook, but it has incredible continuation through the pins, and is such a strong cover, that you automatically have more room for error. Using this on a 45 foot sport shot, I was able to have 3-4 boards of area to hit the pocket. This ball is awesome, definite heavy oil, or first ball out of the bag. Drilled 5-3/8x3x2-1/16 rolled sooner on your basic league shot so had to get a little deeper. higher volume shot was able to play more left with my feet and roll clean over 15 And our to 5-6 board and very strong finish through the pins.

The New Pitbull covers all the boards and continues through the pins without losing energy or carry. Its very versatile and adjustable cover makes it must have for any style!!

This ball is a hook monster in oil. Smooth through the front and starts to pick up mid-lane. for a while the DV8 Grudge was the most hooking ball in my bag that was a solid coverstock. This Pitbull is several boards more hook than the grudge. I can even give the ball a little polish and its perfect for league night.

Dangerous Hook! Bites and doesn't let go!
I have owned every DV8 for the past year. This is by far the strongest ball in my arsenal!! Unfortunately, in my area, I have not experienced enough oil to actually see how long I can use this ball in a set. Soon, on my PBA league, we will be bowling on the Shark ~ I am sure this ball will match up perfectly!! I have used this on a 47 ft flat pattern and the midland reaction is INSANE! When this ball grabs the lane, it doesn't give up! The continuous motion through the pins is quite impressive.

Layout:::: 50 X 4.5 X 30
Box Surface OOB
Rev Rate ::: 300 - 325
Ball speed:::: 15.5 - 16 mph
Condition:::::45 ft. sport shot

What I was looking for in the PitBull was a ball I could use for heavier and longer patterns with a move inside. That's exactly what I found in the DV8 PitbUll with this layout. I knew before drilling the Pitbull it was a heavy rolling big hooking ball.
I noticed when using it on this 45 ft. pattern that I could get deeper in the oil and what suprised me was even withit's mid lane roll it still didn't roll out. I will say I can't use this ball on house shots. Compaired to my Original Grudge the PitBull is about 3-5 more boards stronger.
It has great continuation for a ball this strong. I recommend to anyone who is looking for a strong heavy oil ball to get the DV8 PitbBull. For the High Rev players it might be a good iea to take the surface up a liitle or put some shine on it. I t will give the high rev players some added length and more angle in the back part of the lane.

The DV8 Pitbull...this ball is man's best friend!
I drilled my Pitbull 5 1/2 inches off my axis point with a weight hole 2 inches down off of my PAP (positive axis point) on the PAL (positive axis line). The pin is under my middle finger.

I first tested this ball out on the Kegel Pattern - Tower of Pisa.

The reaction on this ball is unbelievable! It has a very strong rolling motion and great for heavy oil. This will definately be the first ball out of my bag for tournaments and also league.
The thing that stands out the most for me about this ball is its characteristics to roll very heavy in the midlane and still has a LOT of energy for the backends to flip and hit the pocket with tremendous force! I have compared this ball to my original grudge and the Pitbull hooks 5 to 7 boards more.
The color scheme of this ball going down the lane will catch the eye of any bowler!
So if your looking for that heavy oil ball with a lot of ball motion on heavy oil, the Pitbull is your answer!

This ball just flat out hooks! I have a 40 x 4 1/2 x 70 layout, I really wanted this ball to dig for the heavier oil patterns. I got what I was asking for. This ball I seen about 3-4 more than the Grudge with the same layout. This ball doesn't chew up the mids, even though it has a strong midlane read. Smooth transition and power and continuation into the pocket. The pins just explode. I dusted mine with a 2000 pad to smooth it out just a bit for me, and never had a loss in overall performance. This ball just hooks.
