Being a HUGE fan of the GB2 line, I feel this reaction is what we needed to complete the line! With the cover/core combination this ball allowed me to play various angles and still had continuation with a great angular motion downlane!! Definitely a must for any bowler!!

The all new Game Breaker 2 Phenom Pearl or also known as (The perfect benchmark ball). This ball is always the first out out of my bag on most house shots. The reason being is because of the proven symmetrical core, wrapped around the pearl cover. I like this ball especially on the fresh because it is predictable and not over powering skid/flippy. Easy Length in the middle part of the lane with a powerful back end motion. To me, it is the perfect compliment to the Hammer Rebel!

First of all let me tell you how EXCITED i am that the famous V2 core got the proper pearl cover that it has needed for some time. This ball is a perfect compliment to the Original GB2 Phenom. I found success with this ball in games 2 and 3 of league. For me the Phenom pearl truly performs well when the lanes start to get a little drier. If you bowl league on a drier house condition or see a lot of transition in games 2-3, you won't go wrong with adding the GB2 Phenom Pearl in your bag. Truly the perfect benchmark pearl to have in your arsenal.

I am a huge fan of symmetrical equipment, especially the Game Breaker series. Bowlers have been waiting for a good Pearl in this range from Eboniet to come back and this is the one.

I drilled this with a 60.5.30 layout. This gave me the natural length that this ball had via the pearl, and a very even yet strong motion coming out of the pattern. I like to play with this ball more during a late set or block, or even in games 2-3 of league when the track is a little beat up.

Review:
This layout and pearl cover provides more length that the GB2 Phenom. I played about 2 boards further right with the pearl compared to the solid. This ball would perform best on medium to drier lanes for medium to higher ball speed. When the GB2 Phenom begins to stand up early, this balls will serve as the go to ball. If you're looking for a ball to provide length, consistency and the power the GB2 offers, this is it. This ball will be in my ball for sure especially when bowling on shorter patterns and lower volumes of oil.

The latest addition to the most successful mid performance core in Ebonite history is nothing short of amazing. Finally a Pearl cover that pairs extremely well with the great midlane rolling core. It’s a true benchmark ball for medium to slight heavy patterns reads the lane well and tells you exactly what the lane is giving you. Most pearls will read the friction too hard to blend the lane forcing you to switch more than one should. The Staffers at the WSOB took a liking to it for good reason definitely give this one a try.

COMMENTS

The GB11.2 pearl cover is noticeably stronger than the version of the pearl 10.7 that was used in the GB2 Gold. For me, this ball is excellent for medium to lighter oil patterns or patterns where there is some free hook. It revs up nicely off my hand, but gets through the fronts cleanly. It picks up late in the midlane, but has good traction there for a pearl cover. The ball makes a strong arcing motion in the back end with great carry. It’s an excellent complement to the original Phenom and can be a good ball to switch to if the original begins to burn up. This is a great league ball for bowlers of all styles and should be usable for all three games. GB2 lovers will definitely want to give this one a try. Great performance for the money with the Phenom Pearl.

This ball has quickly become my first choice out of the bag on the typical 'house' patterns. I used a very controlled drilling with the pin under my middle finger and it has given me exactly the reaction I was looking for. Easy skid up front with a predictable mid-lane reaction and a strong continuous move through the pins. My son also throws my equipment and this is also his favorite ball. He has high ball speed and a much higher rev rate than me, but the ball gives him very much the same reaction. This ball is a great addition to any arsenal at the mid-performance price point.

This ball is absolutely amazing! The biggest combination of Length and back end motion of any ball in the GB2 line that I have thrown.

The GB2 Phenom Pearl is exactly what you want out of a symmetric pearl. Doesn't jump too hard off the back of the pattern, but it does give you enough angular motion to move left and open the lane up a little bit.

GB2 Phenom Pearl is a ball that I was missing from my arsenal for sometime now. Now that I have it I have 2 of them and WILL drill more of them. First one was drilled 60x5.5x30. Ball is long and very angular. I wanted to utilize what this ball is about and that backend. It is a little stronger than I expected but that's totally ok. just drilled a 2nd one with the pin in the palm and this one amazes me too. It gets going about 2ft sooner than the pin up and makes a nice hard arc. Does go thru the pins great too. This one will end up with a little surface on it to smooth it out a little more to use on patterns a little flatter and around 40ft long.

By far the most angular GB2 so far. It is very clean through the front, goes quite long with a lot of backend. Definitely ideal to use when opening up the lane.

This ball doesn't need much introduction. The gamebreaker series is your definition of a bench mark ball. I drilled mine pin above the bridge cg slightly kicked out no XH. I love the motion this ball provides. It's the cleanest gamebreaker to date. If your looking to use this on a fresher pattern take off some shine and lightly hit it with a abralon pad so the ball will pick up in the midlane better.

Game breakers in general are a smoother predictable shape. the phenom pearl is a little later and more of a snap. strong than the gamebreaker gold.

Was not a huge fan of the MVP or the Gold after loving the original GB2. This cover on the Phenom Pearl is exactly what this core needed. Easy length, good read in the midlane, and very strong on the back.

The latest edition to one of the best Ebonite line of balls maybe ever. The Phenom Pearl provides what we have been missing in this line and that is super clean in the front to mid lane and still has enough motor to get some great down lane motion. If you like the Gamebreaker 2 line up then this is the next ball for you. You can feel confident that it will provide you with a great Pearl coverstock and proven core combination you need late in the block or when the pattern is just hooking more. This also works out to be a great ball for the league bowler because it won't be too much ball for those centers that hook and if you need to parallel everything when the lanes are tight the ball will allow you to play a little straighter and still get to the pocket down lane.

Cant say enough great things about this one. What an awesome compliment to the rest of the Game breaker 2 line. For me this one was just as clean through the front part of the lane as the GB2 Gold, but with a much more prominent move on the back end. Great all around ball for medium to dry lane conditions!

Finally, the GB2 pearl ball I've been waiting on for years. This ball perfectly compliments the GB2 Phenom. To be honest, this ball has become my favorite ball on the league shots. It allows me to stay to the right much longer while still having the hitting power on the back end to carry the corner pins. If you are looking for a mid range ball that allows you to stay righter, longer, than this is that ball!

Once again the Game Breaker 2 line comes out with an impressive ball. With the Phenom Pearl, you get more length with a strong motion on the back end when compared to the GB2 Phenom. Definitely a ball to have in your bag.

This ball is very clean through the fronts and very smooth off the back end of the pattern. This ball is very controllable. When The gb2 phenom solid starts to hook to early and hit flat, you can switch to the gb2 phenom Pearl and it will get down the lane and continue through the pins to get that extra hit to carry the corner pins. This ball is a must have in the bag.

If you are a fan of the GB2 line, you will be a big fan of the Phenom Pearl. The Phenom solid was the most aggressive GB2 ball I have thrown. I'm usually not a fan of a lot of pearls as I am a 380 rev rate player. They are usually too over under for me. But this ball is very predictable for a pearl. It reads the fronts very well and you can see it revving up mid lane. It will hook a lot when it sees friction but in medium oil was very smooth and controllable. This ball has earned a rightful spot in my bag next to the original GB2. If you are looking for a controllable pearl cover that doesn't go down lane a mile before turning the corner, then you need to drill this up. I drilled mine pin up. Keep in mind the GB2 core loves to flare.

WOW! First word that hit me when I saw this ball. Not only does this ball complement the GB2 Phenom (one of my benchmark balls), but it delivers the same great hitting power that we have expected from the GB2 line. Once, the lanes transition, this ball is something I am surely going to grab almost every time! Thanks EBONITE!
