DV8 Grudge Pearl is awesome great ball for med-heavy oil. My ball motion control in the front with a strong move in the backend. I love to roll on lanes with carry down and watch the ball cut through the back.

This pearl version of the original Grudge has a strong motion that cuts through longer and heavier patterns easily and comes off the pattern with a strong and continuous motion. Once the pattern opened up carry increased Low rev players looking for free hook will like this ball on medium and heavier patterns.

I Got the New DV8 Grudge Pearl on release date . Drilled it , left the surface out of box . Pin right next to ring finger , shot 702 in league 30 min after I had it drilled , I used it all three games and only moved 3 boards left the whole night , love this ball , very controllable , all I own are DV8,s .

The Grudge Pearl is one of my strongest balls. It always seems to be clean in the front of the lane and has a lot of energy in the backend. I am always amazed how controllable it is. I don't normally like a skid flip reaction, but this ball has changed my opinion! I am able to use this ball on many different lane conditions, even when the backends are dry! I highly recommend this ball on medium to heavy oil. It is so fun to see it flip and drive through the pins!

DV8 continue to release equipment that is taking the bowling industry over. The DV8 Grudge Pearl is the newest release in the DV8 line and it definitely does not disappoint!
The Grudge Pearl complements the original Grudge, by giving a bowler more length down the lane with the continuous roll that is known for the Grudge line. Like my original Grudge, the Grudge Pearl is drilled pin up between my bridge. The result is an exceptionally smooth rolling ball through the heads with tremendous amount of roll and hook at the pin deck.
The ball motion is very clean through the front part of the lanes, while maintaining a tremendous amount of hitting power. This ball maintains its motion at the break point and through the pins, with incredible predictability. The Grudge Pearl is excellent on medium to heavy lane conditions, dependent upon your rev rate and lane surface.
DV8 continues to innovate in the bowling industry and the DV8 Grudge Pearl has not disappointed. If you love the original DV8 Grudge, then you have got to have the new DV8 Grudge Pearl. If you don’t have one by now, you are just not bowling!!! DV8…Tonight We Bowl! www.dv8bowling.com; #dv8bowling

This ball is sick! I have been a fan of the Grudge line, this piece fits perfect in the line. What I love about this ball with a pin up layout is natural length I get with this ball. When it goes left, it goes with the power of the original Grudge. This allows me to play in the same area throughout the night/shift and if I have to make a move or jump left, this ball allows me to get that done without having to be perfect. If you’re a fan of the Grudge, you should run out and get this ball. Just a side note, this ball looks great going down the lane, it really catches the eye and is easy to read.

About the Bowler

DV8 Grudge Pearl
70x4.5x30

The first thing you notice about the Grudge Pearl is that it has a lot of shelf appeal. This one is quite the looker. The Violet/Black/White cover looks nice on the shelf and even better on the lanes. The color combo comes in handy to help read the ball reaction too. You can really see where it starts to rev up and make the turn.
As for ball reaction... this ball delivers! The Grudge Pearl is 2-3 feet longer than the Hybrid with more backend hook and continuation. This one offers that trademark, heavy Grudge roll through the pins and, although it's a Pearl ball, it's not a skid/snap ball. It has more of a strong rounded shape. Just like all of our composite coverstocks, this one takes surface changes really well. During a recent tournament I hit the surface with a 2000 grit Siaair pad. We were bowling on a longer pattern using Ice oil and I wanted to get the ball to slow down just a touch quicker. The added surface gave me just the traction I needed and provided me with even more confidence that I could stay aggressive with the ball.

Very good shiny bowling ball. Stable and smooth, saves a lot of energy in the backend. Would be good for the medium to dry oil.

The Grudge Pearl has one of the strongest covers to date by DV8. Have to say it's probably one of the Strongest Balls with a flip/skid reaction in the front, with one of the most consistent reactions in the back of the lane. Very readable and has a great continuous Arc basically rolling the pins off the deck because its so smooth through the pindeck. Drilled a 15 pounder 75 x 4 1/2 x 40. Usually play more in around 15 to start on a medium but longer house shot and also higher volume tournaments. On Oily lane conditions I can slow my speed and play straighter, and with such a big flip coming out of the skid, this ball never loses its energy unless i miss it at the bottom. DV8 has a WINNER here. Looking for a Strong Cover with a Arc in the back, the DV8 Pearl is your BEST choice.

I love this ball, I am a down and in bowler this does not lose momentum in the back end it hits hard and I get great pin action, but I do have a question what is the best cleaner to use with this ball?

The DV8 Grudge Pearl...This ball is phenomenal! If your looking for that ball when your heavy oil equipment starts hooking too early and too much and can't get the ball down the lane with stored energy for the backends, The grudge Pearl is your answer! Once the pattern breaks down a little bit and you can open the lane up, this ball has plenty of backend and hitting power!
I have found this ball to be very effective on medium oil volume patterns, and even some light oil ones too, when you want to really hook the ball, this ball just has tremendous backend!!!
So if your looking for that new benchmark ball, here is your answer, The Grudge Pearl!

The Grudge Pearl is the newest addition from DV8 and is the perfect compliment to the Grudge line… and maybe more. As a pearl, you may expect some squirt on fresh and a whole lot of over-reaction on the backend — well guess again. With the coverstock on the Grudge Pearl, the read you get in the oil is surprising. You don’t have to “wait” to get into this ball. You can use this ball from start to finish, and with the amazing, controllable abackend of the DV8 Grudge Pearl - the carry is just plain UNREAL. Do you want long and strong? Look no further… the Grudge Pearl is THE BALL to get into. BOOM.

The DV8 Grudge Pearl is a great addition to the Grudge Line! The Grudge Pearl for me is less angular than the original Grudge (I use the Pearl at box finish and keep my original Grudge at 1000 Grit). This ball is very clean throughout the lane with great back end motion that retains energy through the pins. Plus this ball is gorgeous and very eye catching going down the lane!

The Grudge pearl is the newest release in the Grudge line. The Grudge pearl offers the most angular ball ever made by DV8 to this day. I drilled mine 55x5.5x40 and kept it at box finish. When I used it for the first time I was amazed on how clean it was through the midlane and the backend it had. I kept moving left and the Grudge pearl kept making the corner every time. This ball is great for someone that has a low rev rate because the ball does the work for you or a high rev player that wants to open the lane up. The ball provides miss right with awesome recovery and misses left to get though the oil with no problems.

I have had the chance to throw the Grudge Pearl . The Grudge line has been a good ball choice for me when I encounter longer and heavier volume conditions. The Grudge Pearl compliments the Grudge and Grudge Hybrid perfectly .
What I saw with the Grudge Pearl is it has about the same length as the Hybrid and similar ball mothion at the breakpoint for me. With the Grudge Pearl I am 6 - 7 more boards right than the Original Grudge and
4 - 5 boards right than the Grudge Hybrid. The Pearl is easy through the front as the Hybrid for me and doesn't read the lane early . Off the friction is it more angular than the Original and Hybrid.
The Composite Hook Pearl coverstock gives this ball a Flip off the friction like you have never seen.
I highly recommend the Grudge Pearl to anyone who is looking to have maximum flip on Med oil conditions.
