Columbia Side Swipe love this new ball from Columbia. Has all I want in a ball for medium oil. Ball motion easy through the front and a strong angle in the backend. Very easy to open the lanes up throw right and watch in come back with power.

LOVE this ball.
This is the middle of the road, benchmark ball that everyone needs in their bag.

This ball clears the front of the lane great and doesn't go too long before rolling up great through the pins.

This ball doesn't snap or very sharp off the break point but that is what makes this ball readable and great for tougher patterns. This motion is one of my favorites and the carry is excellent.

This is the ball I needed in my back for league play. This ball is clean through the front of the lane and still makes a great movement down lane. The most impressive thing about this ball is how it goes through the pins. With this being a Mid-level ball and at great price point this ball hits like a monster and is a ball I believe everyone can benefit from having it in your bag. The Side Swipe in my #1 ball of choice during league play and it is the ball of choice as lanes start to burn up early during tournaments. This ball is a winner and a 10 out of 10 in my book.

The sideswipe is exactly was is reads. It sideswipes the pins and the competition. the sideswipe is great on medium oil patterns, it has a clean front end motion with lots of backend curve and continuation that's very predictable. This ball makes moves much easier. Sideswipe still contains the bend-it pearl coverstock which has been a monster.

About the Bowler

The Side Swipe has been a very good ball for me personally. What this ball allows me to do is stay straighter longer on most house patterns. For me, being able to stay on top of the dry longer allows me more margin for error to still get the pocket and strike. By not having to move left so fast, the longer I can stay away from the "wet/dry."

While the ball is encased is the proven bend it pearl cover, the core still allows the ball to retain a lot of energy and not over reacting when it hits the dry. It creates more of a controllable motion down the lane.

Alll in all, I'm really fond of this ball on almost every house shot because of the predictable motion, and it's ability to allow me to stay on top of the dry longer! If you're looking for a ball that will always keep you in play, then this is for you!

Side Swipe literally goes sideways! It is a clean ball through the fronts and it saves all the energy for the back end. The ball hooks tremendous amount down the lane! However, I have noticed that higher rev players like this ball more than lower rev players! Definitely a unique ball! Give it a shot, you wont be disappointed!

Looking for a ball that has ultimate control? The Side Swipe is it. This is my go to ball when the lanes are tricky or the backends are flying. I work in a pro shop and have drilled several of these for different styles. Slower ball speeds with some hand will see some angularity out of the ball, but if your ball speed and rev rate match up you will see a very consistent controllable roll to the picket. For me I can use it on the THS or a sport shot and have success. On the THS I bowl on I can start right and work my way inside as the night goes on. On most medium to long sport patterns with some volume I will not pull out this ball until the heads start reading early. For most bowlers with average to higher ball speeds on the THS you will need to find some dry to start the night out with it, or use it later in the set. Overall this is an awesome ball for control and predictability.

This is a great replacement to the Columbia 300 Delirium. I have long been a fan of the Bend It Pearl coverstock that was featured on both the Delirium and The Vow. For me this ball is super clean in the front part of the lane. It is about 2-3 foot sooner than my Delirium. It is a great motion for when the pattern starts to transition.

I thought this ball was going to go long and jump off the dry. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it rolled. Great ball for medium oil. Starts up mid lane and just keeps gaining momentum. Kudos to C300 for only taking this ball to 1000 before polish!

Great addition to your arsenal for a medium oil ball. It is very clean through the front part of the lane with a very predictable and controllable motion that cuts through the pins. This is my go to when I have super bounce to the right and need something to just roll off the dry. It hits like a truck and is a great add to your lineup
