Track The Rising Reviewed By: HammerBoy 12/06/2008 04:40 ( stars)

The Rising is definitely a good ball to start with in a league match when the lane conditions are unknown. Simply put, The Rising is VERY forgiving and allows for an extra 2-3 boards of error. On difficult shots (especially reverse oiling), The Rising shines and works wonderfully as it still clears the front part of the lane with ease before rolling and a smooth arcing motion to the pocket. The carry from this ball ain't exactly a big deal (i leave quite a lot of solid 10s with this ball compared to my venom and sauce). But due to its forgiveness, it is a must have for all bowlers who are looking to improve their average.

However, this ball didn't do exactly what i was looking for, i was looking for a powerful skid/snap ball but it gave me more of a smooth arc ball. It's not a bad thing but i do prefer skid/snap balls to arcing balls due to the more explosive damage done to the pins. And another thing, the coverstock of the ball seems a little weird. When bowling on very oily lanes, the oil track remains on the ball and it is really hard to clean it off with a microfibre clothe alone.. And the colour of this ball really pisses me off, haha..

But all in all, this ball is really strong, powerful and definitely a winner for bowlers looking for balls with more forgiveness. Great ball by track! =)
