Ultimate Nirvana is a Hybrid Reactive coverstock. This will give you more control in the front and a strong move in the backend. Great ball to open up the lanes easy to get it back from all most any part of the lane.

About the Bowler

Brunswick Ultimate Nirvana
Bowler Stats:
Speed: 18-19mph
Rev Rate: 400-450mph
Axis Tilt: 7degrees
Axis Rotation: 30-60 degrees
Layout: 45 degrees by 5” by 50 degrees (small hole 1” down VAL)
Intent: My original Nirvana was a little strong in the earlier part of the lane than what’s usable for me on medium or medium-heavy patterns. I didn’t want to change the surface to keep for the really heavy stuff. The Ultimate Nirvana’s new hybrid cover is what I’m looking for in terms of a little more downlane push but similar shape.
On the lanes: The Ultimate Nirvana has shown to be a great compliment to the original with the similar shape I expected, but without the early read that the original could generate at times. With similar layout, I have my Ultimate being about 1-2 boards less than the original with that being due to the delayed read. With this extra length comes extra versatility.
Final Thoughts: The original Nirvana had tons of success from its strength throughout the whole lane. Bowlers will love the Ultimate Nirvana as a great compliment that will allow them to stay with a bigger ball for slightly longer, either to start out with or as a step down from the original Nirvana. I’d place this as a medium-heavy ball that can sneak its way into the heavy or medium ranges.

BALL MOTION
The new ECS Hybrid coverstock is Brunswick’s latest advancement in performance enhancing technology. ECS expands the soft segments of the polymer chain producing improved friction and wider sweet spot resulting in fewer adjustments. ECS technology generates a faster refresh rate and a longer performance life for the coverstock. Paired with the Nirvana Ultra Low RG core, the Ultimate Nirvana provides effortless length through the heads with extraordinary backend continuation on medium oily to oily lane conditions..

COMMENTS

This hybrid asymmetrical ball is very clean through the heads with a continuous strong motion on the backend. This ball has a very strong backend motion and is very predictable. I really like this ball and it has quickly become the first ball out of my bag.

The Ultimate Nirvana is the new piece in the Hook Line. The new hybrid ECS composite coverstock is wrapping around the Nirvana core. That creates a more angular motion down lane and a lot of drive through the pin.

The reason why I chose the Ultimate Nirvana is because I want a strong asymmetrical ball with more control. That’s why I drilled it 60x5x70. Seriously, I never seen a ball that has so much drive through the pins like that ball. That’s kinda fascinating me. I adjust the surface 3 times to bowl on THS twice, Montreal 41’ once, the Sunset Strip once and the cover response very well to those changes.

If you think the original Nirvana was a great bowling ball, I dare you to try the new Ultimate Nirvana and you will not be disappointed.

The Ultimate Nirvana is a great ball goes longer than the original with a stronger back end. When moving in I still get a great read on the ball. Used this ball on multiple Shots same great read down lane.

The Ultimate Nirvana is cleaner through the front part of the lane with a stronger motion down lane compared to the Nirvana. With the 4000 box surface, it still has enough surface to create traction in the oil because of the stronger ESC Hybrid coverstock. With the addition of the Hybrid coverstock to the lower RG Nirvana core, it will create more length through the fronts and more continuation downlane. I have used this ball on a house shot and it allowed me to play 15 to 5 to start, and I kept chasing it left as the lanes broke down (I had 265-228-290=783 in a 2nd shift league a week ago). I have also used it on sport shots which allows me to open up the lane and get a stronger motion down lane. With the pin under layout that I used, it allows me to have a smoother arcing type of motion with retention of energy to drive through the pins. If you are looking for a good ball to transition to when the Nirvana is starting to hook too much, the Ultimate Nirvana will do the job. Here is a video of me throwing it:

I laid out my Ultimate Nirvana with a 50X4.75X35 layout. This put the pin just above the inside of my ring finger and the mass bias a few inches left of my thumb with a small P3 hole. I am not usually a fan of this many colors swirled into a bowling ball as it reminds me of how I am old and how weak my release has become, but this one phases together nicely. The major like I have with this ball compared to its predecessor is how much more defined the break point seems to be on this ball. I love to see the ball stand up (again, showing my age). For me this ball is really only a little cleaner than the original (both with box finish), but I get a good four boards stronger at the break point which really helps my carry when I play more towards the middle of the lane. I will primarily use this ball to compliment my Mastermind Brainiac when it doesn’t quite hook enough, or when the original Nirvana doesn’t get the 10 out.

I drilled my Ultimate Nirvana with a 135 lay out to use at the Nationals. It is very smooth with a hard continuos backend.
I would strongly suggest this ball for anyone looking for that mid lane move and extraordinary backend continuation.
Good Luck and keep hitting them hard.

Great compliment to the original. More length and pop on the back when the Nirvana starts over hooking. If you love the Nirvana as much as me then this ball is a must have.

It is amazing how clean ball gets threw the heads. The back end is phenomenal. No loss of power on the back end. Ball was exiting the deck in the 9 pin position. My Nirvana is drilled the same way my ultimate Nirvana is. When my Nirvana starts to check up early. I can go to my Ultimate playing the same line with no fear of overreaction or not recovering. The ball is a beast. First day i threw this ball was in a Tournament this last weekend. I shot 2195 Scratch for 9 games. Including winning the doubles Championship. This ball is a must for anybodies arsenal. Brunswick has yet another winner.

As a Brunswick Staff Player I get to throw what I think are the best bowling balls on this planet. In our league play 2 nights a week we bowl in a house with an extremely very poor 41 ft house shot that is very unpredictable and typically your pair of lanes play differently. I am a low to med rev bowler with 16 deg of axis tilt so naturally I like to play down the boards, but the shot provided prohibits me from playing in my comfort zone. I drilled up an Ultimate Nirvana first of all for length and to allow me to move in and play an area that is not my favorite to play. I drilled this ball with pin down using a 35x3 3/4x60 dual layout which has allowed me to move inside, deeper than I am use to. This ball is so clean thru the fronts, really allows me to get my ball started on the correct path, this ball clearly creates tremendous energy in mid lane and makes my hook to roll transition unbelievable and gives me the angular attack to the pocket that I normally do not get. The carry of this ball has exceeded all my expectations. It has created great success and scoring for me that has influenced others in my leagues to purchase this ball for themselves. Everytime I think it can't get any better, Brunswick does it again, The new covers that Brunswick is using now really repels the oil. This ball is an absolute home run and I would recommend the Ultimate Nirvana for most bowlers. Make sure that you use a Certified USBC ball fitter to drill one up and improve your game.

This ball has become my benchmark ball. I added some polish to the box finish, and I've used a pretty standard pin above the ring finger drilling. I've used this consistently on the stone street pattern, and it is amazing. The ball is clean through the front of the lane, and makes an awesome turn off of the break point. The polish on mine seemed to make it all the more forgiving. It retains energy through the pins extremely well, and provides great pin carry. This is a home run ball for Brunswick. I don't see many bowlers that couldn't find a great use for the Ultimate Nirvana. It really is the perfect compliment to the original Nirvana or a ball such as the DV8 Grudge. When those balls are burning up, I can step right into the Ultimate Nirvana and keep striking.

Intended Use:
With the my go-to pin-up layout, I was looking for a motion that was complimentary to my original Nirvana. Strong asymmetric with a sharper motion from the layout.

Reaction:
Nailed the reaction I was looking for. The strong cover revs up well in the midlanes, but doesn't overhook too early, thanks to the layout. Gives me a nice medium-strong motion that has been great on both house patterns and flatter patterns when I want to be steeper though the front of the lane.

Overall:
I have used this ball a lot more than I thought I would. I normally can't use stronger asymettrics on house patterns because they burn up too much energy early, but the layout on this Ultimate Nirvana makes it a BEAST! This is definitely a ball that fits both the typical house bowler and the weekend warrior looking for a strong-medium ball to fill a hole in their arsenal.

I have a 3.5x1.5x3.5 layout on my Ultimate Nirvana. I hit the surface with a 4000 pad and love the way this ball picks up the mid lane and still has a great backend motion. My first 3 series were 731, 771, & 785. Also shot 300 & 800 with it a few weeks later. Get your Ultimate Nirvana today!

The Ultimate Nirvana is just that….Ultimate !!!
Just like the original Nirvana, the Ultimate Nirvana does not back down. The Ultimate Nirvana clears the front part of the lanes smooth and clean, has a great mid lane read and retains the energy for as great back end reaction and continuation through the pins. This ball is especially very good on a fresh league shot when the oil is fresh

I've used this ball primarily on WTBA Tokyo and Kegel Autobahn, both in the 42' - 44' range. Grips the midlane like snow tires, while skating through the heads cleanly. I have mine drilled pin above ring finger and have been able to use it on just about any pattern of medium length or greater.

It revs up nicely for me without hooking early or burning up at the pins. I've found on a fair amount of volume that I can start on the fresh with my original Nirvana, and switch to this ball once the transition happens. The ball motion for me is later than the original, but not much different in overall hook.

A good option to have in your bag.

The Composite Coverstock technology train continues! The Ultimate Nirvana is a longer and stronger version of the original Nirvana. The Nirvana is a great ball for oilier conditions but can be a bit early for our house shot. The Ultimate Nirvana is the answer for this situation. It recovers very well when missing right of target on the house shot and creates quite a bit of room. It excels as the games go on as you have to move further and further into the slickest part of the lane. The Ultimate Nirvana is about 2 and 1 stronger than the original and several feet longer. It has been a pleasure to throw and thus far it has shown to be every bit as durable as other Composite Cover balls. For a ball that hooks fairly soon it has quite a bit of down lane energy and really carries the pins well. League night is a lot of fun standing left and throwing right with this new beast! It is the total package as far as versatile, stronger equipment is concerned and will continue to get quite a bit of use. The Ultimate Nirvana combines overall hook and power into an attractive package that will work on a variety of medium to oily conditions.

This ball is definitely something special. The way the ball reads the lane in the mids and the move on the back, wow. The continuation through pins is phenomenal. Definitely something special and a ball that won't be leaving my bag.
