Hammer Arson High Flare Solid another great Arson ball in the line The roll is smooth with the Matte finish with control in the backend. You will love this ball n fresh and tough patterns you can change the surface to get more length and faster move in the backend.

About the Bowler
Hammerheads another beautiful ball from Hammer. This new one from the proven Arson line does not disappoint. I threw this one with the box preperation and then I added some polish to the cover. What I found found on my house pattern which is fairly light is a ball which picks up sooner then origanal high flare and showed a strong continuous move off the pattern. After adding some polish to this one it was much smoothier through the front part of the lane and had a much stronger predictable move off the pattern. This solid version for me is 3-4 boards strongier then the original high flare. For those on a budget this one will be an outstanding addition to your bag. With some small surface adjustments this one will easily handle a wide variety of lane conditions. This Arson line continues to impress. No dislikes with this one.

Here is my take on the new Arson High Flare by Hammer. The core is the same as the original Arson High Flare. It is manufactured with the carbon fiber process and has the 3 year warranty. It has the max-hook solid cover and is colored in blue and yellow swirl. Box surface for this ball is a 500/3000 Abralon finish.
To help you understand my take on the ball, my “vital statistics” are that my PAP is 5 ½ over and 1/8 up with a rev rate of 405. Additionally, I have thrown this ball on USBC White pattern as well as house shots. I have thrown the ball at box surface and at 4000 Abralon and polished with Ebonite Factory Finish polish. I drilled the High Flare Solid with a 75 X 5 ½ X 55 layout.
The High Flare Solid is a very strong, symmetric release. Compared to the original High Flare which was a pearl, the Solid picks up much earlier and is smoother. Overall, the High Flare solid does cover more boards than the original High Flare. I preferred the polished surface best because the core/cover combination is very strong and on the patterns on which I have tried this ball, the polished surface gives me more hold. If I were bowling on a higher volume pattern, I would like the factory surface. That being said, with sufficient head oil and/or pattern length, this ball could easily be a benchmark ball. The High Flare Solid is not angular and as such, would be a great ball on fresh sport patterns as this ball will blend out any over/under reactions. Once the pattern breaks down, depending on where the lanes are playing and desired ball motion, a Hammer Widow Limited or a Hammer Viral (Solid or original) would definitely be a preferred option. Like with all balls with core manufactured with the carbon fiber process, the hitting power of this ball is excellent.
As previous noted, this ball is best suited for heavy volume patterns. From what I have seen, I think this ball can be used on a wide variety of pattern distances but the key to this ball is to have sufficient oil in the front part of the lane in order to get the proper ball motion from this piece. I believe bowlers with higher ball speeds and higher rev rates will benefit most from the strength of this ball.
The Arson High Flare Solid is presently readily available. It is a very sharp looking ball…see your local proshop operator to purchase a new Hammer High Flare Solid…the latest TOUGH RELEASE by Hammer!!!

COMMENTS:
LIKES: Great colors, Strong mid lane, awesome continuation.
DISLIKES: NONE!
OVERVIEW:
BEING THE 2ND RELEASE WITH NEW ARSON 2 CORE AND THE COVER TO BE INFUSED WITH CARBON FIBER YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FIND ANOTHER BALL IN THIS PRICE POINT TO OUT HOOK IT AND BE ABLE TO PLAY AS MANY ANGLES ON A LOT OF DIFFERENT LANE PATTERNS. FOR BEING A SOLID I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH HOW MUCH ENERGY IT STORED FOR THE BACKEND. IT READS THE MIDS VERY GOOD AND IS VERY ANGULAR DOWN LANE FOR BEING A SOLID. THIS IS A MUST TO HAVE IN ANY TOURNAMENT PLAYERS BAG. IT WORKS WELL ON MULTIPLE PATTERN LENGTHS AND DIFFERENT STYLES.

The new Arson High Flare SOLID features the same revised version (Higher Diff) of the Arson core, but with a solid coverstock from the original Arson classic. The AHF Solid is the perfect complement for the medium to medium- heavier lane patterns. The 3000 surface on this cover still gets through the front part of the lane with ease and provides a very controllable motion in the midlanes along a strong backend motion to the pocket.
For me, this is my new benchmark ball that will tell me which direction I need to go when bowling in league & tournaments. The AHF Solid provides me a strong rolling ball that does not quit, but has a very controllable motion off the spot. I can keep chasing the oil inside and this ball still comes back when playing deep inside the lane and allows me to open up the lane a little bit more.
With the new standard 3 year warrantee that Hammer provides for this ball, that is a great added value for your money! I think this ball fits perfectly in the Hammer line up and will be a great addition to your current arsenal. Very versatile ball… You will be impressed!

I used a 60 x 5 1/2 x 40 layout and this ball rolls great. It's everything that I love in a ball; solid with a symmetrical core :). It gives me a very a very strong mid lane reaction but is able to maintain a strong and continuous back-end motion. I think this ball will be able to be used on many different patterns.

The Hammer Arson high Flare Solid is a great ball for bowlers who liked the arson series, this ball is a symmetrical solid which allows bowlers to play a little more up the track without getting to much over under.

The new Hammer High Flare Solid is a very controllable ball it reads the front of the lanes and makes a continuous back end motion. For me it works well during the transition moving to the left it doesn't loose any hitting power. Changing the cover stock to 3000 I saw the ball read the lanes even smother !!!

This ball is amazing. The roll and reaction on this ball is not what you expect. Recently used it at Nationals for 1296 in doubles, 690 in singles and 1921 all events. The used this ball on the Route 66 pattern and killed them averaging 245.5 for 8 and the win. Just a minor surface change here and there and this is an all around ball to have in your bag!
