I've used the shoes now for over a year and have recently found that the stitching attaching the bottom of the shoe to its upper, on my non-sliding foot, is failing. I'm left-handed so it's the left shoe. Additionally, the heel on the same shoe is wearing down rapidly requiring it to be replaced soon. Because this heel does not attach with velcro a shoe repair shop will have to do the work. If it weren't for the problem with the stitching I would give these shoes a top grade. They are very comfortable and provide good support to the feet.

The fit is right on. The leather is really comfortable and the look is very rich and glossy. A shade of trouble with a sticky heel at first. This is a trouble I always have. After a few approaches and a little bit of cleaning of the heel, no more trouble. I'm very happy with shoes, and happy with my purchase.

So far I have owned two other pairs of bowling shoes. My first pair were Dexter SST 5 that were great comfortable shoes but lasted one year before I had to get rid of them they were poor quality.

My second pair were Linds Exxxtra's these shoes were and are amazing I have them for six years and only now did they start to break. The Linds truly were amazing and I was worried about changing shoe brands.

The third par of shoes are the 3G Tour. I had read some reviews and someone on my league has a pair. All reviews I read are correct the shoes are so comfortable and light it truly is a good quality shoe. In a review I read someone mentioned they run a half size small which is not true. When I first put them on they were a bit snug but they broke in immediately with in a few frames and fit better than a glove. They lace up nice and look real sharp in the all black.

However there is a bad side unfortunately. The shoes come with a great big carry case, shoe trees, a shoe cover and the spare and extra soles and heels. The downside is the last item. In looking at the soles and heels supplied I believe the 3G fell short. The soles on there web site list other soles that should have been included including an extra heel.

I am cranker and I really rely on my foot sliding a certain amount and stopping so I can max my leverage and crank through the ball. I have bowled ten games so far with the shoes and the slide for the first few games was not there. Finally I was able to fine tune the slide with the sole that has the replaceable discs. It took a few throws but now the slide is perfect. I would like to have seen the number 5 sole included along with the 2,4,6, and disc sole. The shoes are wide and offer amazing stability something the linds or dexters didn't its like ridding in a Cadillac compared to a compact.

I know i am being picky but in a competitive market these things count and it should be noted.

They would get a perfect rating had it not been for that small detail. But I will definitely recommend them to all buying new shoes.

I got these shoes to replace my old SST6. I love how light weight these shoes are. Right out of the box I had the sliding sole broken in after this first game. These shoes are so comfortable and would highly recommend them to anyone who are looking for a new shoe.

I purchased these shoes for specific features. As a toe dragger I wanted the to cap. I wanted the Teflon pucks as I have used the glue on Teflon sole pads for many years. And I prefer lighter shoes. Initially I loved the shoes. However I noticed that the Teflon pucks depress into the sole after a month so the net effect became zero but I took one of the leather soles and added the Teflon pad. Unfortunately after another month or sole I started experiencing pain in the little toe of my sliding foot. I thought that perhaps the size was a little narrow so I had them stretched to no avail. After another month it reached the point that I could not use them without severe pain. I thought that perhaps it was some unknown injury so I went back to my old shoes and no pain. It appears that the flex of the shoe puts pressure on that area. All in I ended up with an expensive pair of shoes I cannot use. I know other people with these shoes that do not have the problem so I cannot say this was a design flaw.

The great thing about these shoes is that I can make very small adjustments in sliding by changing one or two of the "cleats". Many other styles of bowling shows come only with 2 or 3 heels and 3 or 4 soles but sometimes those adjustments are too large.

Only problem has been that shoes were shipped with
only 6 slide cleats per type. 7 are required. Am

About the Bowler

Purchased these shoes for my 13 year old son and he loves them. Comfortable right out of the box and perfect slide with all of the different sole and heal combinations. I currently have the ABS version of these and have loved them for the 5 years I have owned them. These are the best shoes on the market, well worth the money.

Right out of the box and it doesn't need to be broken in. Previously owned a pair of Dynorooz, a pair of Dexters SST-8, and some Brunswicks. Out of all the pairs of shoes I've owned, the Dexters were the only ones I never liked because they were too narrow and it took for ever to get broken in. However, no body can top the 3G, DynoThane, Dynorooz company.

I just received my 3G Tour Ultras last week and I was instantly impressed with the quality of the shoe. I used to have this same shoe back when they were called Dyno-Rooz, and those shoes lasted me 3 years so I am hoping that these will do the same. I just switched back to 3G after a short time of using the Dexter SST8. I will never buy a Dexter shoe again because this shoe didn't even last a year, the soles were cracking and the inside of the shoe was falling apart. You can honestly see a huge difference in quality when holding the Dexter shoe next to the 3G shoe, the 3G is much better built. The 3G shoe had more flexibility right out of the box than the Dexter shoe had after almost a year of use. The tour ultra shoes are also very well ventilated and my feet almost never sweat while wearing these shoes. Congrats to 3G for building another great product and keeping such high quality.

About the Bowler

Only one problem with these bowling shoes and that problem is not unique to these shoes: the left hand side of the toe cap on the right shoe (for right handed bowlers) wears prematurely and there is seemingly no way to replace it without replacing the whole shoe. The first bowling shoe manufacturer that comes out with a shoe as good as this the 3G Tour Ultra that ALSO has a replaceable toe cap gets all my future bowling shoe purchases!

About the Bowler

I love these shoes! They are very light and very comfortable, right out of the box. Doesn't seem to have any break in period.
They fit a half size smaller than what I usually wear in street shoes.
Ordered from here at Bowlingball.com where I found the best price. I paid the little extra for truefit just in case, which I ended up needing. I filled out the online true fit exchange and they emailed me a shipping tag. Nothing to it, I'm very pleased with the service I've received!
Anyway it took me 4-5 rolls, switching out slide / brake pads and I got it just right.
I did a lot of research on shoes before buying these and determined these were the best, which I definitely agree.. And they come with a shoe bag, all the different slide / brake pads, shoe horns, one shoe cover for your left shoe while walking around getting beer etc., and I don't even remember what all else, all kinds of cool stuff.

I read a different review who said something about no vent holes in the shoes. He must not have had these, 3g tour ultras, because there is actually vent holes right down through the bottom of the shoe, Excellent ventilation. But don't wear them out in the rain. As if anyone would do that.

The 3G Tour Ultras are my first pair of bowling shoes. I've bowled with house shoes forever because I was just used to them. Finally my buddies pushed me into buying shoes but I wasn't impressed with Dexters while looking at them at my local pro shop. I found the 3G's here on Bowlingball.com and immediately knew that I wanted them.

I have only rolled in 4 league nights since receiving the shoes but so far so good. They were immediately comfortable and flexible. I feel like there is little to no break in period. My friends were immediately impressed by the quality of these shoes compared to their Dexter SST8's. One of them just had to do a warranty claim because his sole cracked. I think I may have turned some people on to these shoes already. I have also noticed that now with a more consistent slide that I am bowling more consistently and have improved my spare accuracy quite a bit. I haven't had to do any interchanging of the slide pads yet but from what experience I have had while playing with the shoes a little, the pads go on and off and stay on very well. I will also add that these hoes seem to fit true. I wear a true 10.5 but it varies by manufacturer. My 3G 10.5's fit perfectly.

I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a high quality, comfortable, and good looking bowling shoe.

First brand new pair of bowling shoes since getting my Linds 25 years ago. I tried the Dexter SST1, but couldn't get a good slide, so I knew I had to go with an interchangeable sole system. My Dad has a pair of the 3G Tour Ultras (also in black), and he raves about them. Can't wait to shoot an award score with them!

These shoes give you a more consistant slide than other type of shoes I have had. They are comfortable and I would recommend them to anyone who is a serious bowler.
