I bought this for something to play with at fun events like no tap fundraisers and basic fooling around with fiends. I had it drilled the same as my strike ball with the center of the eye as the positive axis point. When thrown correctly the eye floats down the lane looking right back at you. I have gotten such a great reaction I started using it on my league as a spare ball. Since this is a plain plastic ball it works great for that too.
As an added bonus the pro shop guy that drilled it told me to start using it as a practice tool. The better my release the less the eye wanders as it rolls down the lane.
