Storm Tropical Breeze has two new colors. If you need a ball that is easy to control with backend on lighter oil patterns get your favorite color and smell.
Camber Core's inverted light bulb core gives it a smooth roll in the front and all the hit you need to carry the corner pins.

What a great ball for dry lanes. The Tropical Breeze cleared the heads very easily had good movement in the mid-lane and had a nice arc on the back-end and had plenty of hitting power. It is a ball for all type of bowlers.

I am so glad the pro shop didn't listen to my color choices. The yellow inserts look very sharp. There also was a very helpful video on how to glue them in place. The first two throws with the ball were strikes, I had three games in the 180's then a 235 and a 251. My league average is 170. This ball does what I wanted. I can throw it straight for spares and use it for strikes on dry lanes.

About the Bowler

I believe this bowling ball is going to increase my average....it does respond differently than my old ball, Storm Hot Rod. I do have to release it a little differently, and if it hooks left hard, it is because of my delivery. One issue is, if I release too far outside the first arrow, it will spin off into the gutter.....grrrr.
I do love this ball! The color is striking...no pun intended, and love the smell; however, the wonderful smell is distracting when setting up to deliver the ball, I want to smell it a little longer. Lol.

About the Bowler

The Tropical Breeze usually spends a lot of time in my bag and doesn’t get a lot of use however when I'm bowling a really long tournament and the lanes are completely burnt up the Tropical Breeze is my go to ball. It may be a weak ball but it really is strong when it hits the pocket and drives through the pins.

About the Bowler

The Tropical Breeze bowling ball delivers on all levels. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it also is a great ball for low-medium oil conditions. When used properly, this ball creates great pin action. The ball is one of my favorites because of the carry it creates. Overall, the Tropical Breeze is a great bowling ball.

Love this ball, beautiful and smells delicious. Perfect for when the lanes are breaking down, and if you just want to throw it straight to the pocket or with just a little bit of hook. I use it as a spare ball for the right hand spares: the pesky 10-pin has met its match!

I purchased and drilled this ball to handle conditions when my other equipment rolls to early and burns up. This ball has exceeded my expectations for the price point. It easily moves through the dry heads and when it makes it's move I'm very pleased with the carry I get. The only thing to watch out for is puddles down lane. This ball will skid through if there's not a friction point.

This ball is unreal. I recently practiced on a pair of lanes that had tons of plastic thrown on it and just completely messed up. This ball saw nothing until the backend. I have it laid out with a 60 x 3(3/4) x 75 layout and took the surface to 2000 before even throwing it. This puts the pin right under my ring finger...maybe a little to the right. The ball flares, not a ton, but man does it move on the back. I can't believe how hard this ball hits but how smooth it is off the backend. The ball didn't jump on me once and once I got it shined up a little I really enjoyed it more. You can't beat it for the price either. The ball is really good.

The ball is perfect for a beginner learning to hook. She is loving the way it reacts.
Would recommend for the beginner as a first ball. Great straight ball, yet is also able to hook.
As a bonus her locker smells like birthday cake.

About the Bowler

The Storm Tropical Breeze is equipped with a Camber Core wrapped in the Reactor Pearl Reactive coverstock and polished to a 1500-grit finish. I purchased this ball because I wanted something in my arsenal for dry lane conditions and this works very well on those conditions. The pearl coverstock carries the ball down lane and ensures this ball will come back into the pocket strong enough to carry.
I do not advise using this ball on fresh conditions or cases in which the oil has been pushed down, however. The mid-lane read on this ball can be rather touchy, and missing outside can mean the ball will hit light – if it even makes it back to the pocket. If it does make its way back into the pocket, expect to leave a few 5-7s or even 5-7-10s (for a righty).
That said, this ball can be good for developing bowlers, especially teaching them how to play accurately straight up the lane. Because the differential of the Breeze is so low (0.013 or less), this ball is the perfect stepping stone between a spare ball and a mid-level performance ball. It will give the bowler (and their coach) a great idea of what their ball is doing while at the same time giving them more hook – and more carry – hopefully encouraging them to continue the sport.

I was looking for a ball that goes long and with a smooth steady backend. I had this ball drilled to go long with an angular kind of backend so that it would have a bit of hook. The first time I threw this ball, the backend was phenomenal. It went long but surely surprised me with the backend. The first game I shot with it was a 246. I really love this ball! It is my new go to ball.

I really liked this ball, the reaction is everything I expected. My only warning would be that it does NOT smell like Lemon anything to me. It smells much more sweet and cake like than anything else. I was told that this scent is more of a lemon cake than a sour lemon. It honestly doesn't matter to me what the ball smells like, but I know some people will care. So be warned, this may not have the lemon "pledge" smell you are expecting!

This ball replaces my beloved Hammer Razyr. Drilled with layout #4. Shot 679 with the ball my first time out on a slightly worn league shot. I can throw this ball right up the 8-9 board and it'll walk right into the pocket with good hitting power without overreacting on the back end and leaving the dreaded 4-9. It'll come back if I miss and throw it out too far right, or if I pull it it'll glide right into the pocket, so it's perfect for a typical league shot. No weak 10 pins with this ball! But I have left the 2-4-5 if I hit the pocket too light. Haven't tried it on a freshly oiled league shot yet.

About the Bowler

I bought this ball to use when the lanes are really eaten up towards the end of college tournaments where I can move out and create a spot for myself. I also like it on really short patterns where I can play up the gutter. On extremely long patterns, to get it to hook I really have to come around the side of the ball. A great ball on certain patterns.

About the Bowler

This ball is exactly what its billed as... a ball for the burned out and shorter lane patterns. It's extremely mellow off the spot for me, and is controllable even on the shortest of lane patterns (35 ft) or on the most burned out of lanes (games 5-6 of a college tournament where a lane has had 30+ games bowled on it without re-oiling). It certainly doesn't boast the same overall hook or backend as the best of the bowling ball world currently, but it serves its purpose very well, and will help bowlers not have to move extremely deep to find the pocket near the end of the day. I think it's a definite buy for bowlers who bowl the longer tournaments, or bowlers who frequently encounter short lane conditions.

The Tropical Breeze is a great dry lane ball. The Breeze with the pearl reactor cover and low differential of .009 allows this ball to get down the lane with the greatest of ease.
But still has plenty of hitting power on the backend. But the good thing is the Breeze doesn't overreact to the dry back-ends.
The Breeze is great choice to bowl on wood lanes and or when the heads are hooking and you are having a hard time to get the ball to push down lane.
I've have used the Breeze on 3rd games in our one center when the volume of oil is on the low side. It allows me to stay further right and near the track which helps my carry greatly. When the natural or natural pearls start hooking too early drill up a Breeze ! The heavy handed players will be able to grip it an rip it with great control of the lane pattern. A great dry lane ball from Storm.

This ball is a great ball to have if you are just starting out in a league or even if you want to get adjusted to throwing a ball with some hook. This ball is my 1st fingertip ball (been using conventional grip 2 yrs prior) and i have been with my league for 3 yrs and my average has jumped from 145 to 178 within a year so this is definitely a must buy if you are serious about your game. I needed a great dry lane ball. I did some research and found this ball to be one of the weakest out there expect going to urethane so I drilled one up. This the best dry lane ball I have thrown. One house I bowl league on breaks down fast. By the middle of the second game Ineeded this ball.Threw 16 in a row play 18 at the arrows to 12 at the break point never having to move. Got a 300 the last game.Use this ball alot in practice sessions too. 215 avg. 14.5 ball speed at the back of the lanes 375 rpm's high track Surface on ball 3000 pad Step two polish. Great ball when you need it.

Tropical Breeze is probably the only ball that can really do its job on short lane patters and burnt out lane conditions. My Breeze allows me to play really straight without and reaction to early but works great down lane cause it skids so far its crazy.I can play up the boards no problem with this ball and able to stay there for a long period of time. When my natural starts to roll to early and have no backend i can change to my breeze and play the same area of the lane just with more skid and more reaction down lane then my natural.pink and purple breeze yum birthday cake.

Hello all and thanks for reading. Here is the link for Kona Breeze by Storm:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rGr87RGznc

First of what a great clean rolling ball for yet another hit by Storm. This ball is very clean through the front part of the lane and maintains great even roll through the breakpoint. This ball does not over react even in shorter oil patterns and lower volumes. Great if you are looking to control a ball on a higher friction lane surface such as wood or a used HPL surface.

In the video you can see I am much further toward the outside part of the lane trying to stay within the track area to allow the ball to roll evenly toward the pocket. Comparing the the Heat with the Hybrid coverstock you can plainly see how much further inside towards the heavier concentration of oil I am throwing with that ball than with the Kona Pearl.

The Kona Pearl is a great choice for heavier rev players trying to control the lane and also for entry level players who's main focus needs to be accuracy and consistency while practicing. Great all around lower end lower volume oil ball that will surely be a hit for many games to come.

About the Bowler

Layout- Pin under ring, cg swung positive with a hole down by the thumb, medium width/depth.

I’m not sure how optimistic I would say I was about this ball when I first heard about it because I tend to have so many issues with weaker balls (especially the older weak Storm stuff) being too poppy off of the spot, but I was pleasantly surprised with this ball. It was angular yes, but it didn’t jerk once it made its move. It was angular but relatively smooth at the breakpoint. This ball is a far more useable piece than I had imagined and is a great compliment to my Roto Grip Rising Star- if the Rising Star gets a little to flat on the back to carry the 10, I switch to the Breeze (and likely move a couple boards right) and out the 10 goes. It looks pretty cool too and smells just like Old Spice deodorant….. Yum? Well my wife doesn’t complain I guess…
