Drive the competition mad with the new Columbia 300 Mad Antics
Pin to PAP(5 1/8" over 1/8" up) - 5"
Dual Angle Layout - 55* x 5" x 35*
Balance Hole - n/a
Surface Preparation - Out of Box (500/4000 Abralon w/ Clean N Sheen)
What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
It has been quite a while since we tested a Columbia 300 ball. With the little I knew about the new Columbia 300 line up, I went with a pretty safe pin up layout that I use often.
I looked for the Mad antics to read the pattern pretty early without a lot of response in the heads with a strong finish.
What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
I was pretty impressed overall, in the past Columbia 300 balls always rolled good for me.
The Mad Antics was no exception. I was impressed with how strong it was but at the same time it allowed me to play a little further right then some of the other new releases opening up my angles and improving pin carry.
Off my hand the Mad Antics so really clean, it still revved up nicely but did not read any friction early. The transition was smooth as well and set up for a strong but not uncontrollable backend motion. The ball got through the pins well and carried just about everything I threw.
Overall, this was a great ball test and really showed us that Columbia 300 has put in some time on their new line and they would make a great addition to your bag.

Mad Antics from Columbia has the Hi-Dynamix core. The hybrid cover will give you all the hook you need in that tough pattern.

Who's ready to get mad? I know i have been getting mad with my my Mad Antics lately. It shares the same core as the Crazy Antics, however the cover is a new hybrid blend (AR350) to be stronger to keep the same crazy and mad continuation through the pins. This ball works well for me on the typical house shots and on quite a bit of sport conditions. This ball is very smooth and clean which makes easier to read transitions allowing you to be one step ahead! So head to your local pro-shop or website today to pre-order yours today, this ball is a must have! WWRD 1/6/15 #Letsbowl #TeamC300 #HaveFun

This ball has unexpectedly been my favorite all time. While the marketing and rating says that it is aggressive, I found that the large core has made the ball tumble through the front of the lane when I need to play left of 15. It continues extremely well and is my go-to ball when I need to score on a house pattern.

What can I say about this ball other than it's one of my favorites of all time! I've owned two of them...one pin up, and one drilled rico.
Out of the box with the pin up layout I averaged over 250 for the first 20 games...it was insane. The ball allowed me to play the outer third of the lane, and was clean through the front. Pin carry from this piece was like none other that I've thrown.
The rico drilled ball was still clean through the front, but set well and didn't over react on the back. Worked well at the Greater Ozarks this past summer when I really needed to control the back ends.
I fully applaud Columbia 300 for this one...it is a true winner! :)
