The Score is a great benchmark ball and is typically the first ball out of my bag. I went with layout A (50 x 5 x 40) from the included drilling instructions and ended up with no hole. The ball rolls exactly as expected; very clean through the front part of the lane with a medium mid-lane read and good continuation down lane. I have been able to use the Score on a wide variety of shots and it responds very well to surface adjustments.

I set this ball to be a continual strong with patterns that are less than ideal. I look for the most control from this layout and ball. Since the Score uses the same core of the original Black Reax and I had a lot of success of that layout on tougher patterns was the intent of the drill and layout. Depending on your lane environment will dictate if surface adjustments would be needed. The Score is a great option in that benchmark or condition specific area that you would not be able to utilize with the Guru or the Guru becomes too strong.

About the Bowler

The Radical Score is a great ball to start with in league or tournaments. It is meant to be a benchmark ball - kind of in the middle of the ball lineup. Frequently, it plays so well you may just want to stay with it.

But, even if it isn't the right ball for the conditon, it will clearly tell you what your next move should be.

The first time I used the Score in league, I went to it in the first frame of the second game. I guessed wrong on where to stand and promptly went through the face for an open.

Then, moving a bit deeper, threw the next 11 with such a variety of strikes that this ball showed me it could really carry pins.

Been with me ever since. #wowthatsradical

The Score is an excellent ball for those looking for control but with tons of hitting power. Mine was drilled 40 x 4.5 x 35. I have average speed with 375rpm and this ball is money. Great for medium to medium-heavy oïl. If you have just 1 ball to buy this season, you can't wrong with the Score!!

About the Bowler

Put your favorite drilling on this ball. I drilled my with the "Length and Maximum Hit" drilling (50X5X40). I am very impressed with its clean motion through the front part of the lane and the energy it stores for the backend.

Once you get lined up, it seems that you can strike for awhile, which makes it easy to cash in on the promotion that comes with the ball! Two friends of mine have seen my reaction, and purchased a SCORE...and have shot 300 with them!
