The Black Widow Venom stretches the performance range in the Widow series by giving users the same great Widow mid-lane motion with an all-new backend movement. The Black Widow Venom features our High Mass Bias Gas Mask Core with Flip Block, paired with our new Lethal Bite Reactive cover. This combination gives Venom more length than any Widow to date, along with the fiercest backend available at this price point. Long and strong is a ridiculous understatement. Black Widow Venom is designed to get longer down the lane and then make the most aggressive backend move possible.
The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

Just got mine and drilled it up, I am fairly happy with the ball, this will probably be my last Widow, I guess that line has played every angle. I like my Black Widow, the Pearl, the Bite and now the Venom. Maybe I should go back to the Pearl and try different layouts. This Black Widow Venom was a bit more angular on the back end which actually left me more of the big splits than I usually leave. I still like my Cell a little better, not much, just a little.

I am a high rev bowler so I don't use any of the matte covers unless they get polished but then again its not to same when you do that. So I bought a pearl and yeah thats a great ball but sometime just doesn't have the drive but I just drilled up a venom today and it was great one of there best I feel. It has a nice snap and a lot of drive so if you are ether playing on dryer lanes or if you are a high rev bowler I would recomend this ball!

I bought the venom when it first came out and i waited to write a review until now. It is one of my favorites and after you release it, the ball hits like a truck! I haven't had any splits or 5 pins. this thing drives all the way through the pins. also i haven't had any roll outs with this ball. One more thing to note is black widows have a rep. of cover stocks having problems but i have not had any problems with them at all.

I've had this ball for just over a month and have been getting used to it's motion on our home lanes. I really like the back-end of this ball. on a 38" house pattern, it's almost too aggressive for my roller release. Angle to the pocket is pretty severe. It hits hard, plenty of pin carry.
I now use my pearl for my late in the game ball, and lead off with the venom when there is more oil on my track. They are a great pair of Widows and compliment each other beautifully.
I recommend it if you want more angle than the pearl will give you.

just got this ball drilled up.Hardest hitting ball i have every seen bowled 246 first game out of box ended up with a 622 for the night.but youve got to throw it the it was intended cant throw it out and expect it to come back not made to do that if you play a tight line it kills the pocket.slides down the oil great then turns left in a hurry .if you dont have this ball get one.

This is the BEST ball I have thrown to date. I bowled with this ball at demo day and immediately fell in love with it. I shot 228 with grips that were too tight and a span that was a bit long. So, now I just bought one.. I'm very excited. I got it drilled with the pin right in the middle of the grips as opposed to my Black Widow Pearl that is drilled leverage to hook later. Even yet, my Venom hooks around the same time the Pearl does. But, the Venom has much more backend rotation.

I just want to say that I am extremely disappointed with this ball. This is my first purchase of the widow series and I can ASSURE you that it will be the last. I have it drilled #3 venom pattern with max hook and let me tell you, it does everything but hook. Its extremely inconsistent. One second you are coming up short and the next are going straight thru the headpin. (Starting at 23 and throwing out to 8). Its either strikes or multiple pin splits with this ball. I've thrown 6 games with this on med-med heavy oil and the "NEW" coverstock for this ball is already needing to be cleaned. This ball is extremely overrated and wouldn't recomend this to my worst enemy. I understand that it is a mid performance ball but I think that they missed the head on the nail completely with this one. my ten year old brunswick hph outhooks the hell outta the venom. I will definately be buying the twised fury solid asap. Ive thrown the twisted fury for a year and will stay with brunswick as they continue to be the BEST line of balls(fury series) ive thrown in the last ten years. I dont think I could give this ball away if I tried...
