The Ambitious II uses a proven hour glass shaped core to create a highly angular ball reaction. High RG core systems have been very popular with International bowlers because of their ability to delay hooking to the back part of the lane. PowerKoil Response coverstock is a new way to describe the "Response" or how fast/hard the ball will respond to friction. Together, the High RG core system and PowerKoil Response coverstock create an aggressive reactive coverstock ball that saves most of it's hooking for the back-ends. This ball was a winner from the very first ball I threw. The ball reaction was exactly what I was looking for. It got through the heads (front 20 ft) very clean, nice pick up in the mid lane (second 20 ft) and really made a aggressive move with strong roll to the pocket on the back end (last 20 ft). Ball rolls very well on a wide variety of conditions and responds well to hand changes and ball speed tweeks. This has become my go to ball in league and on the PBA sports shot. Currently I am a medium rev player with medium ball speed and carry about a 218 average (203 on the PBA sports shot). Buy this ball and you will be glad that you did, especially at this price.
