Morich's new LevRG was up for our test, based on past products we think we will like this one.
Pin to PAP(5 1/8" over 1/8" up) - 5"
Mass Bias Position - 45 degrees
CG Placement - 1/2" right of grip center
Balance Hole - none
Surface Preparation - 2000 grit Abralon with Brunswick Rough Buff
What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
This was a predictable layout for a Morich ball for us. A little weaker than some used in the past but we kept the Mass Bias in a stronger position. I was hoping for a strong rolling reaction with a moderate amount of movement on the back part of the lane. This was intended to be a transition ball for me. If you read my reviews I drill balls for this transition part of the night a lot. Every once in a while I nail one and it does what I think. This is a tough ball reaction to find sometimes because you don't want the ball to hook a lot but you don't want it to go 60 feet either.
What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
Just what I wanted, the ball is the heaviest rolling ball in my bag currently and it hits like a truck. I knew this type of ball motion was very common for Morich and especially with the new larger EZ Rev core I think I nailed this ball reaction.
In the front part of the lane the ball is strong and makes a nice move to set up for one of the best mid-lane ball reactions I have see in a long time. The ball transitions into the mid-lane beautifully and does not quit that motion on the back. The ball hits so hard and really keeps the pins low to the deck which greatly increases carry.
I only threw this ball for about half a game in the middle of the night but it served its purpose well. Next week I am going to try to bring the surface back to box finish (1000 grit) and give it a try earlier on in the night. If you have watched the PBA the last few weeks you have seen Walter kill them with this ball and I think he is using a little more surface.
I just want to see how much stronger this ball gets with a little surfce on it. Overall another great ball from Mo and anyone who has liked his stuff int he past will like this one as well.

I bought an Awesome Finish, and I thought that this was the ultimate ball for me. Don't get me wrong, it punishes the pinsand I love it, but I tried the LevRG, and the AF is now the second ball out of my bag (and I hate to say...if I need it). I've bowled the first half of my 36 week league with my Awesome Finish, and it raised my average 13 pins, Then I bowled the second half of the season with my LevRG, and the LevRG raised my average 14 pins on top of that (179 to start, 206 now and still climbing!). I've never scored as high with any other equipment (3-700's, a 290, and many games in the 260's). I really think you can't go wrong with ANY Morich product! Mo knows bowling! I'm about to get an 'nsane LevRG because the league I bowl in gives free balls to all as prizes. I don't see how this new ball could possibly be better than my LevRG, but, then again, I thought the same thing about the Awesome Finish when I bought my LevRG. Oh, the surfaces on both balls were not altered a bit...box condition right from the start, but they are cleaned nightly. Gotta take care of that equipment! THANX MO!!

First off I love this ball. At the beginning of the season I changed equipment from Ebonite to Roto Grip and watched my average drop from a 185 to 170 needless to say it wasn't a good match, not saying Roto Grip don't make great ball it's just I couldn't figure them out. Right before I was about to go back to Ebonite and get a Total NV I saw Walt Ray throwing a very ugly ball but it read the lanes great. So I decided to get a Morich LevRG. Since I got this ball my average is up to a 188 and only been under 600 series twice with it and had a 722,693,687 with it. I play inside with this ball right around 15 out to 10 the key is to this ball is to keep it polished up or it will start to over hook. Thing to remember is that don't buy a ball for color pattern, buy it for how it reads the lanes oil pattern and that it suits your bowling style.

This is a fantastic ball. I was a 185 average bowler for years. Upon picking up this ball I immediately jumped 10 pins to 195. As I worked with the ball through the summer leagues and got more adjusted to it, I fell in love with it. Over the past four weeks of my summer leagues (as I got very comfortable with the ball and explored what it could really do) I averaged just over 217 with this ball. That's a far cry from 185. I roll my first 700 ever (707) two weeks ago and my first 900 (3 man 4 game league - rolled 925) this week. This ball rolls true and hits the pins like a freight train. You can miss your mark by 3 (even 4) boards right and it will come back and get you a light hit, sloppy strike. I take all "X's"....no questions asked. Buy it....that's all you need to know.

I just got the Morich LevRg today. I practiced 9 games with it and I have to say it's exactly what I needed. Three words that will describe it, hooks, explosion, and carry. This ball reads the dry spots really well and when it hit the pocket you will feel the intensity. Walter Ray Williams uses this ball, and look at him he got two titles already this season. Great ball to have, one of my favorites now.

My first impression is that the cover is TOO STRONG. If your looking for a ball that will help create revs, by all means this is the one. If you don't need help and want to throw this piece I would highly recommend polishing.
The best part about this ball, with the factory finish, is that it reads the dry areas VERY well but does not JUMP when it gets there, but more of a smooth, hard move. And that is the best I can explain it.
A fun side note is that the LevRG will throw some intense messengers, and who doesn't like that.

The Morich LevRG is a great ball, comes back from any position on the lane, personally it's a monster polished, and it's not so much dull, this ball did leave a good amount of tens, but not enough to make me stop using it, overall it's a great ball my Mr. Morich.

This ball is awesome!!! After receiving my ball from the mail 5 days later. I brought it to my pro shop to get it drilled to my specs. However, we ran into a problem b/c the balls "cg" was too close to the pin, and a different layout was used. I bowled 10 games w/ a box finish and I was impressed with the way the ball carried its way into the 1st and second board and still managed to hit the pocket for a strike. Late into the 5 game, my thumb had swelled up and the thumb hole was preventing me to have a perfect release. Now, I fixed that problem and I'm back striking with a 225 average. I'm very pleased w/ this ball and I didn't know why it took me so long to purchase one.
