Temper is sure to cause a fuss. With the Legion core shape and our new MP Gen 1 veneer, it performs best when you need a clean entry through the front with angularity on the back end. Temper comes 2000 grit Abralon sanded and polished surface with Powerhouse Factory Finish. This makes for a great combination of control with raw power. The Temper has all of the qualities to be a winner and have your competition throwing a tantrum.

What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
From what I was told this ball was going to be a little stronger than my Black Widow with a little more midlane roll.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
The ball was a great fit for my game after changing the surface a little. I took the ball from the Out Of Box finish of 2000 Grit Abralon, Factory Finish Polish to 4000 Grit Abralon no polish. For our house shot I was standing on board 20 targeting board 11. When released well, the ball was very controllable and rolled smooth through the heads with a decent arc on backends. When I tugged the ball, it was able to skid through the midlane and still recover strong in the backends. The couple times that I lost the ball right of my target it started up in the midlanes and came screaming back strong on the backends.

My current plan is making this my starting ball and possibly getting a second drilled a little weaker to be my transition ball when needed.

I originally didn't like this ball, it would go too long and I had to slow the ball down too much. I picked up the Track Clean and Dull and now I love it. The motion is great and it hits like a truck.

Last year I made the decision to throw only Track equipment (it was just what worked for me). My pin is above my bridge and the mb is about an inch right of my thumb. I now have about 20 games on the ball last night had 290 and 747. I love this ball on any pattern. The finish I found to work the best for me on the dry (wood) house I bowl in polished 2000 grit but I did throw it on a 40' gutter to gutter pattern last weekend. I took the ball down to 500 and I could get inside with it the ball is one of the best I have ever thrown. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something to pull them out of a slump.

I love this ball! I started my high school season bowling a right handed backup, throwing a lefty ball with a 146 average. I got this ball a little into the season, after switching to a normal right handed hook. My average is now in the 180's, and I bowled a 259 with the Temper. Woo! But the ball does get a little scuffed up if thrown in the gutter, so don't do that ;] , but what ball doesn't?

I cannot believe this ball. I threw the one I have currently for six games, and I liked it so much I bought a second one. The one I have now is unreal. So far it does not like being thrown too hard, but when I rolled it slower than I usually do the ball reaction was truly something else and is a must have for your bag! I rolled a 678 out of the box, I'm 17 years old and that's good for my age I guess, lol. I threw it on a 38ft house shot. Will have more to talk about on this ball after I throw it for a few tournaments. GREAT BALL! Will have video soon.

Track Temper Reviewed by: Vonramon 11/15/2007 16:14

I have used Track bowling balls for almost 20 years and have always loved its turn to the pocket and destruction of pins.
The Track Temper was received with the pin, CG and mass bias in a perfect straight line for a myriad drill patterns. However, after reviewing the Track recommended drill patterns included with the Temper, the possible drill patterns appeared to dwindle to only two. After reviewing them in detail, pattern #2 was decided for massive hook. In essence, the pin is on the negative side of the finger(s), the CG in the center of the grip, and the mass bias turned about 2 inches away from the positive side of the thumb. Then bring the finger and side weights to specifications. (I used a similar pattern on a Columbia Action Max with great results but both the cg and the mass bias were on the positive side of the ball. Only the pin was on the negative side).
What a DUD! No matter hand position, revs or track, the Track Temper ball went straight, straighter and straightest from dry to medium to oil respectively, outside, track and inside. Played around with the weights and ball surface...same reaction. Put the ball in the trash can but reordered another one for a more conventional drilling.
If you order this ball, be careful before you drill it. Do your homework. The included drill patterns may not work for you. Good luck and good bowling.
