the black pearl has a very unique shell it is about 4 inches thick you do not need a thumb slug it is as smooth as a thumb slug drilled mine pin over ring finger with cg over half inch from center of grip it gave me control through the front with strong movement in the backend great ball for most sport shots

By far one of my favorite bowling balls to throw. The most consistent reaction I have ever seen in a bowling ball. It is easy to read, and easy to adjust with. The ball forgives any bad shots you make. I can play just about any pattern with this ball, just because of the ease of reading how it reacts and how much more I trust the ball because I know it wont over react or under react.
A must have for any bowler who is looking to help boost their game.

The Legends The Black Pearl bowling ball is by far the best I have thrown. Smooth and very forgiving. You can bounce it off the drys or play straight up.
I recommend this ball to everyone and anyone.

The Legends The Black Pearl bowling ball is a great arcing ball. Works well in oil. Real forgiving on bad shots. No over reaction. Does not absorb oil. I have it drilled low track leverage. Play 20 out to 7. Worked great at nationals.
