STRIKES MORE. One ball is all you need. Pushing our revolutionary GBV coverstock to a series high 12.7, the Angular One pearl carves the most extreme angle to the pocket yet. Now there's no reason to throw another ball. Unless you're into spares.
We took all the advanced technology of our most popular series and put it all together in ONE powerful release. With the GBV coverstock pushed to 12.7 in a pearl design, this ONE makes all the others seem like they're going straight.
The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

The Ebonite Angular One bowling ball is exactly as the name states: ANGULAR. I have it drilled pin above the ring finger and MB (mass bias) at 45 degrees. I use the ball out of the box which is 4000 with a high gloss polish. The shine tends to fade on this ball in about 9 games, so it does take some up keep. I tested this ball on three different shots; the first was just the regular house shot. Started at about 12 and just chased it in, had to move every few frames since this ball does tend to absorb the oil rather quickly. The second was a 35 ft. sport shot with screaming backends. The Angular One was a little too sharp off the breakpoint, but once it started to lose energy in the front it rolled really well. The fourth was a 39 ft. sport shot. The Angular One matched up really well to this condition, it was really clean through the front allowing me to get more angle through the fronts and still having the kick in the backend to make it back to the pocket.
The Angular One is super clean through the front and compared to my Ebonite One bowling ball it is about 3-5 feet longer, with about 5-7 more on the back. My One bowling ball is drilled pin above bridge, cg out and MB at 45 degrees. The Angular One reads the breakpoint really sharp, but is not a hook set motion; it gets into a roll and really drives through the pins with strong continuation. The Angular One will definitely have a permanent place in my bag and would recommend it to anyone since the coverstock is so versatile.

What I Was Looking For in this Ball and Layout:
Many times when I'm drilling a new release for the first time, you'll see my use this layout. This layout "fits my eye" and gives me what I like to see on the lane. It can be difficult to drill a new release with a goal in mind, so at times we simply apply our favorite ball layout and take it the lanes for a test drive. Nothing really in mind here with this ball layout; just wanted to get a feel for the product.
What I Ended Up With in this Ball and Layout:
The Angular One clears the front end very easily with the 4000 grit Abralon and Powerhouse Factory Finish surface. One thing I've noticed while throwing Ebonite products is that rarely will you have trouble getting their finer grit bowling balls through the heads. The Angular One is similar to other polished balls in the Ebonite line. Even in our home center (Guardian heads, Wood pines and backends), the Angular One seems to handle the fronts pretty easily.
The Angular One is extremely strong at the spot for me. In this layout, I create a lot of down lane track flare, which increases friction and entry angle. The Angular One is true to its name in the middle and backend portion of the lane. On all lane patterns that I've tested this ball on, the Angular One has responded quickly to the dry boards. One of the things that made the original One so successful is the ability for the ball to read the spot quickly but consistently. I see these properties in the new Angular One. The Angular One seems to read the breakpoint quickly, but it really isn't hard to control at all. This tells you that the coverstock and core have been matched up well.
The Angular One is clearly stronger than anything else in the Ebonite line at this point. Even with the pearlized shiny finish, the coverstock is so strong that the ball simply outhooks everything else available. I've had no trouble getting my Angular One to out-curve all of my One, Big One, and Big Time sanded bowling balls that are reviewed on this site. If you're struggling with higher volume lane patterns, or perhaps even longer lane patterns, this ball would be an excellent choice for you. The Angular One is also more "angular" in the backend than all but one of the balls in my arsenal (Big Time Pearl).

The Ebonite Angular One is out of this world! Will go longer than anything you have in your bag and the hook is incredible! If i miss my mark to the right it comes screaming back, and if I pull it and send it to the left a bit it holds the line and pow strike. Bowled a 289 right out of the box! But oil is this balls best friend. If the lanes are dry put this one away. It will hook all over the place.. Great ball, I do recommend!

Just bought my Ebonite Angular One bowling ball after buying 3 balls this past year. I love the Angular. I am a lady and this ball has increased my average 40 pins. I have bowled several 200 games and last week I had a 236. I am so thrilled with this ball. I am going to state the middle of April looking so forward to bowling with my new Angular.

The Ebonite Angular One....I purchased this ball about 3 weeks ago. I have not bowled below a 630 series since I began using this ball. 10 pins??? not a problem. I was leaving 3 to 5 per night, since I started using this ball, I have cut it to 1 per night, and even a couple of nights I didn't leave any! The ball breaks late and carries the corners. It is possible to "over throw" the ball because of the late break. I did not change the surface, using as purchased. The lanes we bowl on would be considered medium oily. Lots of oil in the middle, not much on the outside 5 boards. This ball breaks every bit as hard as the Black Widow. I recommend this ball.

The Ebonite Angular One bowling ball is simply amazing. The reaction of the Angular One is mind blowing. I took this ball and tried it out this morning and had a fantastic 9 game series of 2273. avg. of 252.55. This is the best ball that I have ever bought. Scores were 259,258,247,269,225,238,251,278,248. This ball goes super deep and has a back end recovery like no other ball. It will carry until your hand gets tired. I definitly recommend this ball.

It has a skid, skid roll sensation and destroys the pins while it is screamin' back to the pocket. Goes very long.

I just bowled with Ebonite's The Angular One at an Ebonite Demo Day. The ball is awesome on the back end and hits real hard. It goes quite long and then has a strong back end reaction. I am definitely going to buy this ball.
