Roto Grip; delivers more "bang for the buck" than any company on the market, and the all-new Saturn bowling ball is no exception.
This entry-mid price bowling ball is propelled by the Orbiter core. The High RG/Low Differential core has proven to be far superior in performance than the competition by giving you dependable mid-lane read along with consistent backend reaction shot after shot on those medium to lighter patterns.
Traction is the key and Sure Grip II solid coverstock once again is the finishing touch on the Saturntm. This milder blend solid reactive gives you smoother transition from the oil to the dry for increased control and predictability. It can also be easily adjusted with the use of polishes and scotch-brite pads.

Great ball at a great price. Like I ranted about in my first review most of us are the league bowlers whom a ball will not take us to the promised land. Sure it will help that is if we get lucky enough to make the right choices of sanded or polished which of course can only be a factor if we have chosen the right coverstock and drill layout for conditions more or less for our prefer ed way of throwing a ball. And I could go on but wont. I find it sad that we are all being sold this or that as the next great coming and the one that takes Joe 160 bowler and turns him into Joe 180 and over. That day passed with the introduction of the first zone way back when for me. I am sure you remember what it was for you. Your first reactive. I still throw the zone every so often , yes same one 12 years later and it still works in all its oil soaked glory. I can make adjustments to suit and get it to the pocket where it as always hits like hell. That's my point here. Pick a ball you can afford , this is a great on to do so as long as your house has some oil on it you should be able to adjust and get the job done. If you can then maybe its not a ball you need its practice. Yeah sure some , yet few , guys can kick our butts with there knowledge or the technology but in my experience I can still compete with adjustments of other kinds. Release , starting position , ball speed etc. All came from practice. So if your looking for a ball to save you good luck you have a lot of choices to make hope you get a third of them right. If your looking for a good ball at a great price and are willing to take the time to learn how to throw it this one will do for sure. Like most Roto's I thrown it hits like a ton of bricks.

Two roles for this ball -- 1) Great entry level ball for someone learning to roll a hook. It doesn't snap too hard but at the same time it hits hard. I found working from the 5th-7th boards on the right works best, as opposed to normal hook balls where you work from the left, throw the ball right and let it hook back left into the pocket. 2) Great ball for dry lanes when a more aggressive ball is hooking way too much. Provides more punch than a plastic or "spare" ball so it can be used to pick up spares, too, when a little hook is still needed. Bottom line... I would purchase another one.

Before I got the Roto-Grip Saturn I was shooting around 590's. Since then, I've bowled a 709 and 670, and I am very happy with the Roto-Grip Saturn.

Drilled 4x4, pin just above midline, under ring finger, no weight hole. Surface is OOB 800 sanded.
I use this ball on medium oil. I roll it from the 27 to about 20 at the arrows and it breaks at about the 13 or 14 and dives back into the pocket with authority. It\'s pretty angular. I can also play a bit straighter but on a THS it\'s easy to let the dull cover read too early and have the ball go too far left. Lots of hook for an entry level ball!
Compared to the Pluto this ball is almost the same but earlier, and has more overall hook. Good for spare shooting.

I bowled for three years and then took five off, when I came back this is the ball I bought. I throw a hook with low to medium revs and the Roto-Grip Saturn Solid bowling ball is perfect for consistency and very forgiving at the pocket. It hooks a hair too much for a beginner but is perfect for anything above that

Great ball! It's a wonderful start up ball and now I use it as a spare ball. I would use it for my strike ball but it's to light. I think it's a fantastic ball for the price. The drawback is if you are a top bowler or bowl on lanes with heavy oiled shots, don't buy this ball.

The Roto-Grip Saturn Solid bowling ball is a great ball and a great value. The reason I bought this ball because of its high RG. When I drilled my Saturn I was in for a rude awakening. This ball hooks and hits like the high performance bowling balls. I have my drilled with the pin to right of the ring finger and the CG kicked out. This ball does its work in the back-end. It comes off the dry like Ben Johnson on steroids.

I always bowled a straight ball. So I had some friends talk me into throwing the hook. Well this ball is great for beginners. I also must agree with one gentleman that reviewed this ball. You're better off starting to the right and hooking it into the pocket. I typically go 3.5 boards to the right, and adjust from there. Great for picking up spares aswell. Excellent ball, I never bowled a 200 before with a straight ball. So far I haven't gotten my 600 series, but I have bowled a 244 with this thing! Just know you're not getting a ball with a strong hook, this is great for beginners!!!
