I drilled the Road Hawg 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" from my PAP and polished it with Power House Extender Polish. The ball reacted very clean through the front part of the lane with a good ball motion in the mid lane and plenty of backend. The Road Hawg offered a great overall ball reaction for the League condition I bowled on with more hitting power than any of the new releases so far. The ball motion allowed me to play any part of the lane with a simple adjustment in hand position. I did find that the best ball reaction and carry I had was from inside the 15th board using a steeper entry angle. Overall I think this ball will suit most bowlers and be a great decision for your new ball this season.

Received this ball the last week, I had hoped to add it to my arsenal. As it turns out I haven't used anything thing else in any of my 6 leagues that I bowl in. From medium to oily lanes I have posted scores of 768,778,704, 805. All on a wide variety of conditions and in different houses. What can I say, WOW.

The Road Hawg is an absolutely great ball. I bowled league on a medium-dry condition stood around 30 and could swing it anywhere from 2-6 boards and it would come flying back to the pocket. Got it drilled with pin above , CG kicked out, definitely the strongest ball out of my whole arsenal.

I was having trouble in heavy oil with my Absolute Inferno (no snap) so I decided to get the Hammer Road Hawg. I went to the lanes to try it out. When I got there, I had to wait because the mechanic was oiling the lane. Awesome, I thought. This is the acid test.
First string with the Road Hawg, 220. (I have 195 league ave.) This ball is beautiful. I throw it just like my other ball but in fresh oil this ball tracks and swoops into the pocket.
I give it 5 stars.

The Hammer Road Hawg bowling ball is a very good ball to go to when starting out with the HawgZilla, this ball reads the lanes early and I have it drilled to give me a strong steady arc which it does with power and great results.

The Hammer Road Hawg bowling ball I got was a used ball at Secoma lanes. When I had my first match, my average before was 110 but after this one match, I bowled an average of 172. This ball is a great ball if you like to put a curve on it. This ball is a ball that you should get.

I like my Road Hawg, i previously owned a hawg zilla and between the 2 the road hawg def. preforms better, this ball rolls far down the lane and snaps hard into the pocket once hitting the backend. The pin action is also amazing the whole hawg series are the hardest hitting balls i have ever seen. I recommend buying this ball if you want to improve your game.

I bought the Hammer Road Hawg bowling ball last summer used from a pro shop and had it re drilled with the pin down and to the right of my ring finger about 3/4". I had the ball resurfaced after drilling to give it the best chance. I went from a urethane ball so I was looking for a big hook, more than just a few boards. I have used the ball through league and maintain about a 150 average. I may not have the ball tuned right yet but I keep it clean and still think it is somewhat of a dud ball. I want to wait for Hammer to come out with something new again before I buy my next ball. Currently looking at the Total NV and the FURY. My last thought is that the ball has a smooth curve through the lane and a predictable hook at the end.

I bought the Hammer Road Hawg bowling ball in May of 2006, prior to the season. My average went up 23 pins and now is 203. The only change has been the ball. Very consistent and predictable.
