BVP-Brunswick Value Performance
Exceptional Value and Great Performance.

The BVP Ambush features a Pearlized Low Load Particle coverstock. Known for mid-lane recovery with controlled and continuous breakpoints, the Brunswick low load particle ball reaction has been a favorite for many types of bowlers on both high scoring house shots and more demanding sport lane conditions.

The BVP Ambush's version of the low load particle coverstock is an updated version of the same coverstock made popular by the Fuze Eliminator, Danger Zone HPD and Navy Quantum. The BVP version includes a hint of pearl in addition to the particles. The Ambush's Low load particle coverstock delivers more traction in the oil and more gradual reaction to the driest parts of the lane the pure reactive coverstocks.

On typical house shots the BVP Ambush's low load particle coverstock helps smooth over reactions to the driest parts of the lane creating a smoother but more predictable ball reaction that many bowlers prefer.

On more demanding sport shotsthe BVP Ambush's low load particle coverstock increases mid-lane traction helping to create mid-lane recovery and improve the skid/roll/hook ball transition when reactive coverstock ball are going too long.

The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

I have been bowling off and on for over 8 years now. I start getting way into it, then stopped going. For the last year and a half now I have been going at least 2 times a week. I love the game. I was using my same old, Original Inferno, and just couldn’t get my average over 165. I could have great games lots of spares, but couldn’t hit the pocket. Finally I decided it was time for a new ball. I got the Brunswick BVP Ambush bowling ball for an incredible price, had it drilled by a guy that watched me roll a few games, and now. My average is up to 185. I rolled a 220 on my 3rd game and haven’t rolled lower than 165. Really, a good ball drilled to your specs makes the game. I plan to buy at least one more to get a different drilling pattern and I may never look back.

The Brunswick BVP Ambush bowling ball is very deceiving. It seems like it is going to be a low end ball, something not that aggressive, well that is not this ball. It gets into its roll very early and then down the lane picks up and starts taking off. It has a very snappy type backed due to it rolling so early. The ball is very versatile if drilled correctly. I use mine on a 45 ft sport shot and at the same time could use it on a 35 ft sport shot. This is a very good bowling ball...it never leaves my bag.

I thought that the Brunswick BVP Ambush bowling ball hooked a little early. I think that it had a lot of hook on it, but it would have been better if it had been later. The ball felt good, and would be a good ball for beginners to mid-experience players. I did like the color also. bowlingball.com comment: Polishing the surface with Factory Finish Rough Buff and or Factory Finish High Gloss will make the ball skid further and help store its energy for the back end.

I just started bowling again in the last few months after about 4 years off. I was looking for a new ball that was inexpensive that would hook on top of moderate oil (40ft xmas. I was told that I am a full roller and have it drilled with the pin at 8. I can throw it between 1-10 and almost always smack the pocket. Shot 235 second game out of the box. Pros: The BVP Ambush gets alot of the accidental gutter kissing strikes too! A good moderates level hooking ball. Added 30pins in fisrt 3weeks(160-190! Cons: I have a hard time after the lanes carry down, and sometimes if someone else is playing my line, but I think it may require more learning on my part.

I got the Brunswick BVP Ambush bowling ball as my first real hooking ball leaving my Scout/R beginner ball behind. The ball has a decent arc hook but doesn’t snap real hard in the backend as I would like. On dryer lanes of course it hooks a lot. On medium to heavy oil I have to slow down my throws and give it some more kick to force the hook. Depending on your lanes medium to light heavy I would say is ideal for this ball. All and all it has raised my average from 100 to 150. I'll still be keeping this ball for these types of lane conditions and get another for heavy oil.

I wanted to put my two cents in on the the Brunswick BVP Ambush bowling ball. This ball is everything you have heard and then some! This ball allows me to play some left to right heavier patterns without having to add surface or squaring up to the mix. It keeps the pins low like the original Paradigm and seems to hit harder then anything I have. This ball should play well for all bowlers regardless of speed and revolutions. But overall it is an OK ball.

I got the Brunswick BVP Ambush bowling ball while looking for a hooking ball and ended up getting a very readable reaction. This ball is great for a very cut pattern. It tames the reaction off the dry so it doesn't over hook.

The Brunswick BVP Ambush bowling ball is the best ball ever. I've bought it 3 months ago and been using it every league night and it really increased my average and I also hit my first 300 yesterday.

This BVP Ambush bowlingball caught me off gaurd with just how strong it is... I expected a little hook with a decent midlane read and got quite a bit of hook with a lot of midlane read... Does struggle with burning out in a ball track and does half hit at times, but a solid ball at a solid price... Not to mention visually appealing... We traditionalists like to see a solid color ball every once in a while... Lol..
