I haven't had any problems with my Tropical Storm bowling ball and I was able to learn how it reacts on a variety of conditions, which is hard when you bowl left handed. It has a great hook every time, rolls very well.

They should have called this ball "Hurricane". There's no way this ball is built for dry conditions it works well on oil. Other reviewers have said this ball is really made for specific conditions. I'll have to concur. I can use this ball at the beginning of the night before every one's track is established. Once that happens, I get in trouble. This ball is ready to snap as soon as it sniffs dry conditions.
It gets through the heads nicely. However, when it flips, it flips violently. I have an Epic Odyssey that I use for medium to oily conditions, and this Tropical Storm covers almost as much ground as the Odyssey.
I will probably put this ball on the back shelf and look for another ball for dry conditions.

I bought the Storm Tropical Storm Green/Yellow Pearl bowling ball based on how it was charted NOT to hook. This ball is hooking before it even hits the lane. A guy I bowl with said that it looked like a F4 Hurricane. I called Storm on this and they said that the ball DOES hook more than they thought it would, and the black and red one don’t hook as much, which is confusing, as it is made with the same materials.

The Storm Tropical Storm Green/Yellow Pearl bowling ball a beginner ball?..... I don't think so. This ball is not promoted as a ball that hooks very hard, however, even on heavily oiled lanes one would think they just threw a Hammer No Mercy. My bowling average has greatly improved.

wow...let's see. I bought this ball because one of the houses that i bowl at is relatively dry. This ball is not supposed to hook and it is a monster. I was told it hates oil and really hates carry down. Well it chews through both. On the upside it hits like a damn truck. Still i cannot use it at my friday night house. BIG DISSAPOINTMENT. Thought i would have to move right but instead it hooks more than my rotogrip top fuel. BEST PRICED BIG HOOKING BALL EVER!!!!
