Based on our Perfect Scale™ ratings, may we also suggest the following items.
Ready to start hooking the ball?
Move up from Plastic to Urethane coverstock technology.
Compared to Plastic, Urethane coverstock technology increases traction and hooking action in the oil. Urethane coverstocks can be sanded or shined to create large differences in hook potential and Urethane coverstocks are more durable than either Plastic or Reactive coverstocks.
The Groove Urethane Blue Sanded outperforms and under prices the competition and is recommended for medium to drier lane conditions.
Plastic slips. The Groove grips. And grip is exactly what you need to improve your game. When you're ready to step up from plastic, get in the Groove.
The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

I had not bowled in 12 years and just bought the Brunswick Groove Dark Blue/Light Blue bowling ball last Saturday. My first game was a 195. I was amazed at the control and pin action on impact, for the price you can't beat it, this ball is great for the first time starter to expert. I recommend the Groove.

I bought this ball from here and the very next day I drilled it. I tried it at the bowling alley here in Guyana (South America), the hook potential of this ball is amazing. You don't have to put any pressure on this ball for it to turn. I am very much satisfied with the ball and how it was delivered all the way to Guyana.

It's a great ball for all levels of play. The hook potential is insane as you can really change effects by surface prep. It's a great value for your money. I had the polished version but needed to sand it to increase hook. Now it swings out and comes back with a really smooth arc.About the Bowler Bowling Hand Right Handed League Average 180
