Punisher Specs
Based on our Perfect Scale™ ratings, may we also suggest the following items.
The combination of the new N'Control PowerBoost coverstock with the medium-RG BVP inverted bell core creates more length in the oil than previous Brunswick balls with medium hook potentials. This exceptional length characteristic helps the Punisher save reaction for the back-end, allowing it to match up well on medium and drier fresh lane conditions. The Punisher is also an excellent go-to ball when the heads have broken down and higher hook potential balls are reacting too soon on the lane.
The new N'Control PowerBoost coverstock gives the Punisher strong back-end recovery with good entry angle into the pocket on medium volume patterns when other balls are arcing up too soon and are flat on the back-end. While most medium hook potential balls struggle when encountering carrydown, the Punisher bites through it and still delivers pin punishing power.
Reaction Characteristics Out of the Box: With its High Gloss Polish finish the BVP Punisher will match up well on medium-dry to dry conditions. When dulled: The BPV Punisher hooking action will increase and its arc will become more even, creating a better match-up for oily lane conditions and help blend the over/under reactions seen on wet/dry lane conditions.
The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

This is the first bowling ball I've bought and I'm pleased with it. I haven't had the chance to play it on an extremely oily lane, and I don't have any other ball to compare it with, but for the price, this ball is awesome. It has good reaction, and my average went up to 170 from 120, so I'm happy with it. Don't buy it if you're a hardcore bowler and want something that has a violent back end, for that I recomend the black widow

I bought this Brunswick Punisher bowlingball 1 year ago. I bowl on a regular basis, it is not bad on lighe oil, but if the lane is a little oily it has no reaction. Also, not really as important, but it chips really easy.

I bought the Brunswick Punisher ball three weeks ago and man I love it! It rolls how I want it and hits the pocket hard. This is my first real ball I bought and I'm glad with it. My average went from 130 to 180 in a week. If any one wants a ball to spin real good this is the ball you want. Also to me it work's on any condition lanes.

If your looking to become a good bowler...make sure this isn't your only ball. It is great on very dry conditions but if there is a drop of oil in the lanes it skids and hits very soft. I bought this ball 6 months ago and have since made it my spare ball because it was not versatile at all and is a very weak ball. Invest the extra 10 dollars and get an Inferno.

I've owned one of these balls for the last two years, and it has been a very good match for me, which is why I have bought another one. To give you an idea, my ball speed is 15 mph and my revs are in the approx. 300. I have tried heavier oil balls, but I've found that this ball is a good match for my game. The only complaint is that the ball is a little jumpy once the lanes break down a little (I bowl in a medium lane condition house). I would recommend this ball to anyone who bowls on medium lanes and likes a ball with a lot of hook at the end.

I know someone that owns the Brunswick Punisher bowling ball and they get some hook out of it. I really can't say that much about it since I don't throw it, but it seemed great.

I returned to bowling last winter after a 25 year gap. The Punisher is my first modern ball. After relearning the sport I have found the ball to have a decent hook on dry to medium lanes. It is a straight ball on oily lanes. If it is not clean, clean, clean it will not hook. Easy to average 150-180 once you learn how to use it.
