I am a scratch bowler and have been for a few years now. I used to hook the ball from gutter to gutter, but recently changed my style to be more versatile on different lane conditions. I bought this ball on the recommendation of my local pro shop and it has been everything I hoped it would be. My very first series with it was 747 right out of the box. This ball hits hard!!! If you are bowling on dry to medium lanes and are able to stay behind the ball on your release, any amount of revs will make this ball a killer. I have been able to throw this ball on any oil condition though it does not like real heavy oil. When everyone in my league is struggling, I am still able to put together a respectable series with this ball. Simply put, I love it.

I am a 205-210 avg bowler. I throw around 17.5-18 mph with high rev. I've been throwing the Columbia 300 Messenger Titanium Pearl bowling ball for several years and it is still my favorite ball out of five others. I've had a 300 game and countless 700 series nights with it. It is a moderate but late hooking ball that is pretty consistent across all oil patterns. Though I usually start the night with other balls, I almost always end up grabbing this ball before the night is over. It is also very versatile. With a slight release change I can go from gutter to gutter cranking to a tight but late 5 board hook. I bought the Columbia 300 Messenger Titanium Pearl bowling ball because my pro shop said it was great for my style. Well they were wrong, this ball is a waste of money if you don't like running it down the right side and in. I was so frustrated with this ball. I went out and bought the Black Widow by Hammer. Now if your looking to up your average fast that is the ball for you it jumped my average from 176 to 191 now that's an improvement. I would only recommend this ball to an old lady. This ball will move if drilled right and if you put massive revs on it, but if you don't do those things and bowl on heavy oil patterns don't buy this ball.

This is a greatest bowling ball. I love it. I have an 180 average with it. I bowled my high game a 242, 7 strikes in a row. I like it so much I am getting another ball, the Radical Inferno or Rampage.

The Columbia Messenger Titanium Pearl is good bowling ball with the right drilling it can hook very well, not so great on heavily oil lanes.
Hits like a truck.
